Bears were obviously right to cut Peppers, he was like 16M on their 2014 cap number. It's weird seeing 3 great aging pass rushers all on the FA market (Ware, Peppers, Allen). I think he'll play 65% of the snaps at the most, and hopefully be a higher effort guy than he was for the bears getting double teamed every play. Whether that will be worth 8.5M for a year is unclear, but I welcome the effort to improve our "good on paper" pass rush that too often vanished the last two seasons.

Anyone saying this is like the Reggie White or Charles Woodson signings is an idiot.

Peppers has been a superior player in his career, but getting Abraham-like production in Peppers' mid 30s would be a good goal.
