People trying to delay AT&T and DirecTV merger because AT&T claims to have fulfilled their promise of providing 100% broadband coverage. Not sure why a company would ever claim to have fulfilled that, but I am happy with anything that harms AT&T.

When the City of New York signed a franchise agreement with Verizon to build out its fiber-optic network across the five boroughs, everyone — or nearly everyone — was supposed to be able to sign up for FiOS by 2014. The deadline has come and gone, but millions of New Yorkers still say they can't order FiOS in their homes.

Now, New York is calling out Verizon for failing to hold up its end of the deal. An audit published this week by Mayor Bill deBlasio's administration and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) highlights "an egregious failure on the part of Verizon to deliver on the FiOS agreement." Verizon, meanwhile, claims it has fulfilled its contract with the city.

Apparently, after being told repeatedly I didn't have it in my building (in NYC via Verizon) I can get the new Quantum service.

I'm locked in to my plan and it's infuriating. Not to mention between 8pm and 11pm during the week I get huge packet loss and lag for video games.

As for loloptimum I have them with their $5 extra 50 plan (was a big difference) and I have 0 issues or complaints. Net always works great with good upload.

I agree. I used to work in their Optimum Voice dept. It's crazy how they get shit on when in their most remote locations their service is still baller as fuck.
