What drives you using? I recently bought a 8TB Seagate External for $150 and shucked it. Was an archive 5400rpm drive inside. Hitachi 3TB internal refurbs constantly go on sale for $40 ish. Not sure what I'll grab moving forward.

Well several of them are random old shit I picked up back when externals were terrible. I've managed to transfer most of it off of them onto a couple of 3 or maybe 4TB seagates I got during black Friday/cyber Monday sales last year on the cheap at Costco. Not really too up on best options though

The way the FCC previously regulated ISPs was ruled illegal in a case against AT&T in 2014(?). Going to title 2 regulation was the FCC's response to Congress's failure to give them the authority under title 1 that they needed after the court case.

We have never had a time where the internet was more important than it currently is and the FCC is intentionally looking away.


Ps. I hope Ted Cruz enjoyed his term as senator. I would be unsurprised to see his seat get flipped next year. Unsurprised and gleeful.

TBH I think if Ted Cruz was the ticket item for an election he wouldn't make it. However Greg Abbott is actually popular and will probably carry Cruz's nasty as corpse across the finish line.

It should be said in the almost year I've been living in Texas and I haven't heard anything bad come out of Abbott. Though TBF the transgender bill didn't make it to his desk as well.

But yeah, while Cook political report has Bob Corker's replacement in 2018 as a tossup (along with Nevada and Arizona), they have Cruz's seat as "Solid Red" - not even "Likely".
