It's not even bad as a tank. Time your CDs for WW and don't be a tard about pulling your sister and voking/tomahawk spiny. I haven't healed Ifrit Ex yet but I'm sure it's more difficult than tanking Garuda
Well that explains why my SSD PS3 was still having the occasional fight where I would just shitout
It's not, regen/fairy can pretty much heal everything that's not double wheel or Aerial Blast.
Chirada does virtually no damage outside of her super Downburst, which the OT will pop CDs for since that's all they really need to mitigate the entire fight (assuming she lives long enough to use it in the first place).
As long as the MT uses CDs for double wheel and is good at avoiding slipstreams (can easily overlook Garuda's when you have Sup targeted) there's nothing else that deals a significant amount of unavoidable damage.
Healer(s) should stand away from the group so only they get hit by Garuda's frictions, rest of the party shouldn't be taking any damage as long as they avoid the sister Frictions.
Ok while I certainly don't play XIV on a USAF flight simulator I have been getting pretty chronic hard crashes with my paltry 4 cores since the patch, so hopefully this is fixed for me as well....An issue wherein the client will sometimes crash under usage of a CPU with greater than 32 cores. (Windows version only)
Ive tanked/healed both. I'd say Ifrit ex is a little more challenging simply due to the fact that its a mechanic healers are not used to. As a healer ive found the hardest part of the fight is simply finding another healer that simply pays attention to the mechanic and knows when and where to move.
Speak of the devil, log in and hard crash not even 3 mins later, and now there's an emergency 5 hour maint.

Really hope it's fixed tho, the crashes come completely out of no where and can just be straight up obnoxious with their frequency (play fine all day then crash 5 times in 60 mins).
That's not what I'm describing, it's not 90k errors or DCs, it's hard application crashes where windows prompts you to terminate the process.
There's been 0 consistency with when and where they occur, high traffic time, low traffic time, crowded areas, empty ones, instances, open world, etc.
Only been happening since 2.16.
Day or two late, but of course I didn't mean FC groups. I was referring mostly to PF groups. I personally have done DRG DRG BRD BLM on Garuda EX, simply because that was who responded when we asked in FC. Still, now that I have BLM decently geared, I will be going to Garuda as it rather than as DRG simply because it truly is easier so I don't have to worry about dodging anything.
For what it's worth, I'm a dirty casual, and I haven't had a single crash or disconnection in months. I've done CT maybe four times this month, and a few HM primals but that's pretty much it. And I have been playing in the evenings.
Note - I'm not saying it doesn't happen! I'm just saying that it may be specific to the duty servers.
Me and a buddy both from London - UK playing on gilgamesh, we entered CT together and he would more or less instantly 90k out. On top of this, his wireless connection on his computer is also KO'd and he is unable to connect back to the router and get internet until the router is rebooted.
Where as on my side, I'm fine. We live 1 hour away from each other.
I'm starting to wonder if it's ISP-related, that's the only primary variable I can think of; it's boggling me too. He's fine while not in CT however. He's also fine while doing Garuda Hard Mode too.
Sky Broadband's been having awful issues since this whole issue with the Level3 jumps to the servers hit.
I've had a few completely out of the blue game crashes on my laptop since the recent patch which I've never had before... something's not quite right with the game at present (not to mention the compulsory Primal data centre issues every single day at present)
