I was under the impression that they changed it so you can't lose ranks anymore due to inactivity followed by an evaluation. Did something else change since then?

Doing a mission line is a one-time thing that should probably be done regardless of its connection to campaign. Comparing it to things that are done on a continuous basis is pretty stupid. Again, I would understand some of the rage against the decay mechanic if they hadn't added a way to stop decay. But they did.....soooo ya.
Yeah, it's not like someone's twisting your arm to make you go demote yourself every 5 days.
And you can still warp out. The main benefit to having your medal is to participate in campaign. So it's a self solving problem that way. Ranks don't even really matter except for doing the higher tier things like plucking wings et all. Which isn't the highest rank so if you just accept the demote and do them it will probably rank you back up or just do a couple of battles to make up for that one rare demote you feel like taking when those fights open up. No real need to maintain medals unless you are doing the things that maintain/rank up medals in the first place
To be honest I could care less about Atomos right now. I just want my fucking kittycat.
Release your inner furry.
mithra pc + 3 mithra alter ego + cait sith = ????
So lets speculate the new delve zones' lesser NM compositions! and how annoying they could be
Yumcax's zone is definitely going to have a Snapweed and Panopt NM, but that's only 2 out of 5... what other monsters from plantoids are relevant enough to be worthy of the NM spot?
Hurkan would have tulfaire, but all other birds from that zone are rather unimpressive by now tbh, they'll probably end up doing the ugly brown bird with some annoying aura, like the eft in morimar?
It seemed like the previous 3 zones used at least 3 specimens from the zone and just added 1-2 from the family, i.e.
Morimar has Matamata, Raptor, Efts and Peistes but there's no Adamantoises.
There are no Krabkatoa mobs in Foret, but they used it for delve.
Adamantoise is just a large Turtle, like matamata.
There arent any Gnats or Wamoura in Ceizak, didnt stop them from making an appearance.
if I had to guess, in no specific order within each tier:
Marjami 1-3: bird apkallu bat, 4-5: Tulfaire Roc
Yorcia 1-3: Sapling Panopt Mandy 4-5: Snapweed Treant
My predictions
Yumcax:
Panopt
Snapweed
Rafflesia
Flytrap
Treant
Hurkan
Tulfaire
Roc
Apkallu
Colibri
Cockatrice
Kumhau
Raaz
Ram
Yztarg
Buffalo
Tiger
trend in old delve was: use 1-2 new mobs they introduced as T1-T3 NMs, use olde style HNM models for T4 or T5
Marjami: 1-3 Bird Apkallu Tulfair, 4 Roc (Sky Style) 5 Harpeia
Yorcia: 1-3 Sapling Snapweed Panopt, 4 Big Pink Mandragora Abyssea-Tharongi style 5 Belladonna
Kumhau: 1-3 Tiger Ram Raaz, 4 Behemoth (Skirmish) 5 Yztarg (Meeble burrows)
There's actually no Uragnites in Foret afaik too, they are in ceizak's beaches, and for some reason Gnats hang out in Foret lol.
Malboro NMs didn't make anyone's list yet? those would be awesome/annoying, Belladonas are def good contenders for Plantoid NMs.
Maybe Amphiptere for birds, and/or if they use the Roc, hopefully Abyssea MB skin...
Yeah the abyssea AoE terror spamming Roc!!!
Rafflesia would be a fun time to fight as an nm. Maybe Leafkin? The Touccan Sam Colibri could be neet.
100% chance of Marbol, with EBB @ Yorcia. Considering big nasty plant, with instant death, following the doomtree trend.
And I'd put money on a Manticor, and Gnoles for Kamhir.
Simply because of every ones affinity toward mnk, we'll have to fight (another one) in the form of Gnole, iLVL Alpha Gnole Anders anyone?
A NM Gnole with intimidate would just bring in more RNGs since ranged attacks aren't affected by it, i'm just cross referencing your dislike for RNGs strats, pay no attention. A Gnole that spamed Plenilune Embrace every few seconds if no SCs were performed would be awesome though, or some cool gimmick that would require more than "beat it 'til it's dead" strat.
