Ghrah M Chip Testing

After messing around in Sea for a bit today, I believe that Ghrah M Chip drop rate depends on the floor you're on and maybe not the zone. I killed 100 Eo'Ghrahs today, half on the ground floor and half on the upper floor. Of the 50 that were killed on the ground floor, 13 Ghrah M Chips were dropped. Of the 50 that were killed on the upper floor, 0 Ghrah M Chips were dropped. If the drop rate was equal for both floors, going 0/50 would only occur (87/100)^(50) of the time, or 0.0946%. I'd say that they simply just don't drop on the upper floor period. According to wiki (I did not watch for this myself), Ghrahs on the upper level are birds and Ghrahs on the ground level are spiders. I'll go kill some Aw'Ghrahs now to see if there is a similar correlation there.

Also, all mobs had TH6 or greater proc'd on them.

They don't drop on the upper floor of either zone, if I remember correctly. I farmed the top of the south west tower for three hours one night while fake afking and never saw a single chip (water ghrah type). Never saw a single chip in all the top floor ghrahs I killed walking between Ix'Drg rooms either.

Water is bird type I think and so are all of the ones between Ix'Drg camps. I've also never seen one in the Ix'Drg Ghrahs. I killed about 25 or so Ghrahs just now in Gardens. Did get some chips, but they were all spider type Ghrah. Also, the drop rate did seem lower (which is what others had reported) although I don't have an adequate sample size to really say with good measure.

Well, after walking back into palace for like 5 mins I noticed that 1F Ghrah definitely are not all spider type, so the spider type assumption is invalid. I think it's just floor based, like I originally stated.
