Considering that X7 is total shit, and X8 is significantly better, I am curious as to why you would want the former in good shape and are not concerned with the latter.
This naturally contributes in no way to your finding copies of either game, but I am simply curious. I own both in mint or near-mint condition, and I am a lifelong MM fan, but I don't intend to sell—I have, however, played both thoroughly.
His RockmanX collection. 1-3 are the best btw >_>
Why would you want a disc without a box for a collection? My guess is that he has a box already, which would explain things.
Also, you didn't include 4 in your statement, and that's Goddamn blasphemy.
EDIT: According to GameRankings, MMX3 reviewed at an average of 71%, while X4 reviewed at an average of 74%. Both received scores lower than X1 and X2. Considering that this puts X4 above X3—which I paid full price for, and thought was mediocre—I am okay with this.
Also...
So wonderfully bad.
First off X4 is the best X game in my opinion.
Second I did buy a copy of X8, but the disc is not in good shape. I want to replace it.
As for X7, I used to own it but had to sell it a few years ago. Since I have all of the other PS2 Megaman games, I want to have X7 with it. X7 isn't a great Megaman game, but it isn't a bad game in its own right.
Stop it dammit. Every time I hear X4 the horrible voice acting seems into the sanctum of my mind.
Personally I'm a fan of X2, Wheel Gator's theme is thoroughly etched into my childhood soundtrack and it was my first X entry.
I fucking love it. I bought it domestically for the Sega Saturn when it came out, but I have added other versions of it to my collection since then, such as the Japanese "Rockman X4" (for the same system). Zero and X both control like a dream, the level design is absolutely magnificent, the music fucking pumps, and—yeah. I love X4.
I would disagree, and I think most game reviews would, too, but it is playable. I won't give you a hard time if you can squeeze some enjoyment out of it. I did as well, even while recognizing that, overall, it was crap.Originally Posted by Metah

X4 was definitely the best of the next generation games in terms of design, but I feel that X3 offered lots of things that they failed to build on afterwards like the augmentation chips and the divergent storyline options with secrets (Z Saber for X, Vile in the Sigma levels, etc.)
