First thing: symptoms of DVT are redness, warmth, swelling

Ok now onto the actual symptoms..
If you haven't already, you need to get your wife to a vascular surgeon for diagnostic testing (PVR w/abi, angio, ultrasound) to check for outflow disease. Cold blue limbs are a warning sign of flow restriction to those areas. If her outflow arteries are occluded, she will need bypass surgery to reroute bloodflow. If you have health insurance, you should have been to a doctor yesterday. If your wife likes her feet, dont wait any longer.

Not to point out the obvious, but asking for medical advice on a forum regardless of how many MDs reply isn't the same as having a doctor physically examine your wife and get a complete medical history. I'm always amazed when people play roulette with their health even though it's those types of people who make me rich.

I always assume that everyone who posts a BG medical thread dies within 24 hours taking all their loved ones with them, because the advice is almost always "go to the doctor" and then we never hear what happened.

Ok back, totally forgot to update this last night after I took her to the Clinic.

Doc says not to worry, that a clot won't just come and go like that w/o any other symptoms. He checked her over pretty well, pelvis, back, thighs, looking for any pain or anything abnormal. Did some blood work and tests and those came back good, rest of the tests will come back on Sunday for her thyroid and shit. There was no swelling of any of her limbs or any redness.

To reiterate, I knew I was going to take her to the ER/clinic either way, because obviously blue legs isn't something to just say "Eh no biggie over" lol.

Pretty sure it could be tied into a thyroid issue, as her family has a history of thyroid problems and she does have issues associated towards something like that. Pushed her to get the blood work and shit done and i'll be making her go check with her PCP when we can make an appointment.

Beyond the fact that seeking medical advice on a video game is one of the most idiotic things I can think of...

Every time someone makes a useful post in a thread like this without explicitly stating "this is not medical advice, not from a trained doctor, and should not be taken as such," they're actually putting themselves at risk of getting sued.


It's the same deal with legal advice as well.


In an age of people suing other people for saving their lives, even allowing this shit at all is kinda risky, let alone actually giving any advice whatsoever other than "go to a fucking doctor."

Can you even imagine the amount of money that could be made off of 'bad advice on the interwebs', if it actually was a valid case? People would be suing everything. Trolling would practically be an offense in itself.

So long as we're not claiming to be some medically-backed resource, with doctors and medical people on staff, or anyone that claims to be as such, etc, we're probably in the OK here... and even then, I doubt you could make a case. How fast could you sue any alternative medicine/conspiracy/other bullshit sites?
