I think I'm going to skip this one and wait till you can rent it or subscribe to HBOMax for a while. I want this year to go out on a high note after No Way Home.

A Matrix sequel isn't good? There's a surprise. What an incredible - I think I'm gonna have a heart attack and die from that surprise.

at least there were a couple decent action scenes sandwiched in between the insufferable monologues in the sequels. this one mostly had. it was bizarreSpoiler: show

I'm so ticked off I'm molting.
you guys gona hate me but I liked it for the most part.
Similar sentiments. Plot was meh. Rolled my eyes a few times. The technical film aspects are typical Matrix fare and was its strength. But also felt a bit recycled.
Finished watching it:
This was garbage from start to finish. I don't think I enjoyed any of it. What a huge disappointment.
Biggest question for me: how do you make this film 20 years after the original and end up with WORSE choreography and special effects than the originals? This was dreadful.
Just glad I didn't waste money watching this at a theater. Wasn't impressed. Another movie made way too long after the last one trying to recapture the magic.
Just finished it. I didn't hate it, but it was more of the same - which after so long doesn't feel fulfilling. All the tones and themes that they tried to explore didn't have an impact as the original trilogy did in its heyday, and the ending felt bland. I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't waste a wish on making it better. Safe pass for those who are on the fence.
I didn’t hate this at all.
I take back dreadful. It was really bad in a lot of places and good in others.
There were definitely a lot of over the top or campy parts and the action was just so-so especially when compared to how ground breaking the first one was but I would say this was probably the second best of them all. Behind the original of course.
Well depends if you want to count the Animatrix.
Reloaded and Revolution were fucking dreadful so being better those two isn't a great metric.
should've transitioned to being better directors
ALSO
that cover of Wake Up at the end was fucking awful
