This holiday season is going to be a great distraction from politics. Bring on Delilah!
It's live and I'm getting frame drops first mission. Time to f with the settings I guess.
I just restarted without changing anything and everything is working great. I just built a friend a pc in prep for this game, has an EVGA 1070, texted me he's problem free. Hail our GTX 10 gods.
Played first mission to test it, 1440p and ultra everything on a 1070. Drops to 50-55 in high density open areas, but mostly sits around 70.
Whoa I didn't realize the 2 chars you can choose to play as have different abilities.
I'm thinking of going as Emily since she'll have new abilities but part of me also wants Corvo for that good ol' blink.
IIRC, Emily has some blink-equivalent. More like a fast leap, but it looks like it's not instant so probably can't use it to cross visible gaps as effortlessly.
She does. It's instant but you're not invisible during it. But you can also grab enemies with it.
Finished my Corvo playthrough, going to really take my time with the Emily playthrough and do Clean Hands/Shadow as well.
How long did it take?
Game dev's words. Pls git better pc for our unoptimized game
a 1070 and 4690k only being able to run very low?
alright lmao
Yah, this game is ridiculously un-optimized. I'm running an i7 4790k @4.2, strix 1080, and 16 gb ram and I was getting some bad frame drops @1440. I switched over to 1080 and it ran pretty flawlessly though, at mostly high settings. PC will get a patch pretty soon, but if you don't have at least a 1070, I wouldn't bother right now.
No drops that bad, no, but I've only done the first 2 missions. It's 70 indoors and 50-55 outdoors pretty consistently. But, my CPU is pretty overkill, so there's that.
Once I hit Karnaca is where my issues really started, so that's not it. I'm running an oc 4790k, so unless you're pushing that 6700 to like 4.5+, the difference in CPU performance should be pretty minimal. Going to have to do some research I guess, or hopefully Arkane gets the patch out next week like they're saying.
Just beat it as Emily (played on PS4 since the PC version was such a fucking mess on launch)
Except for having to restart about halfway thru because a KOed npc randomly died after the fact and I didn't have a save from before it happened (was going for the no kills playthru on the first run), good times all around.
