Free Company In Game Application Still Borked?!?

I read on Reddit that someone can put in an app, then they can take possession of the FC. Trying right now to find it on Reddit again.

The problem is that the permission level that allows you to promote members allows you to promote people beyond your rank. So, when you merge with another FC, if you give their leaders promotion privileges, they can elevate themselves to the top-tier of permission.

Just make sure that new members get automatically assigned a rank that doesn't have promotion privileges.

Which is the "X" (or more like >O<) shape rank. Unless there's a way to change which rank new members are automatically put into.

This is why you should always take a moment to fully peruse what everything does when you start a guild in any game. The reddit crying was due to the fact that people rarely plan for the worst and expect people they don't really know to be perfect rays of sunshine.
