The suit Cap wears in the elevator fight scene is the best Cap suit.
People seem to forget, and it's unfortunate that even Marvel hasn't caught onto this, that Cap is a master strategist and tactician. Furthermore, he is versed in MANY forms of armed and unarmed combat, capable of operating all kinds of vehicles, ground and aerial. He is in a sense a one man army. Avengers led by Rogers vs Avengers led by Stark, have always differed.
Team Cap here yo.
We should add little banners for team cap or team stark between our title and avatars... Get on it Ragns!
Probably unrelated
But it seems how the theme of this movie is Capt vs Ironman is strongly similar to Batman vs Superman theme. And it comes out 3 weeks before BvS.
Probably coincidence in timing of the films being in production at same time, but Marvel just pooped on DC.
BvS comes out in March.
herp, read it as may 26th, my bad.
For which side I'm on
There was really no point trying to compete when the only thing on the radar before summer was Deadpool in Feb. Both are going to make a mint.
1. I really hope BvS is a solid movie and sets the bar high. Mahvel needs to learn from the mistakes of Age of Ultron and feel like this is a legitimate horserace.
2. Team 'Murica is the only legitimate choice.
3. Fuck FOX.
Well the point of competition was that BvS is now stuck in march whereas Capt 3 will open up the summer box office season.
Cap's fighting limitations really have always been his relatively low level of superpower. The super soldier serum freed him from a frail body, but my understanding is that in the main universe he can't do anything that a non-gifted "peak" condition human couldn't do, especially nothing in power compared to the heavy hitters like Thor. If he could keep up in power with those characters, he'd definitely be one of the strongest in the entire continuity due to skill differential.
So he's like a poor Batman?![]()
Poor man's Spiderman I think. Probably even better combat awareness but lacks the strength to match.
Cap is also the moral anchor of the Marvel universe, equivalent to Superman. Worthy enough to wield Mjollnir, strong-willed enough to use the Nova helmet.
Cap isn't strong because of the serum. His skills, intelligence, and experience grouped with it are what make him dangerous.
He's also all around just an inspiring guy people will follow anywhere and for the right reasons.
From this question being asked to various writers over the years in interviews; my understanding was their consensus is Cap is the #1 fighter/definite one of the top in terms of skill and ability. His limitation being only against essentially OP powers, yet with his shield utilization and properties tipping things towards his favor.
