Just saw it tonight. This is everything I wanted. Absolutely incredible movie. Spiderman stole the movie and the story felt concise and connected, all the motivations for the characters are there. Black panther was also awesome. the only downside was Zemo as the villain in this movie isn't that great and feels really underused but you understand his motives and reasons to do so.

I'll add that Civil War is exactly the kind of movie we needed right now, after the shit that was BVS.

Maybe it has already been covered in this thread, but kinda crazy how the movie was released in a bunch of places before it was released in the US.

Also, awesome movie. "Longest running Marvel movie to date", but it felt really short due to awesomeness.

It's a pretty common theme with Marvel for the past 3ish movies. Cap 2, Avengers 2, Cap 3 all released at least 1 week earlier in international markets.

Ant Man and Guardians were only a couple days earlier over there.

You can bet when marvel feels like it will be huge, they will release it internationally early.

Yeah I thought it was weird, these past years when I went to Hong Kong, and few other Asian countries few AAA movies came out 1 week early. And ticket prices over there are dirt cheap too, the most premium seat with huge sofa+blanket/table/you can order dinner to go with the movie was $12 converted to US dollar. I guess they make more money just by having the shear # of population?

That, plus 3-day weekend in Europe. International Workers' Day/May Day. Makes sense to push it out a week to capitalise on that.

Given it's made 200m+ without even opening in China or the US, pretty good decision there.

Also, buy a ticket. The hype is so real.
