Finally saw this thing, damn vacation interfering with movies. Saw it in IMAX 3D, always makes things better. Thought it was good overall, didn't think Spiderman was as great as everyone says. Kind of annoying.

I mean most of BG has aged out of the Spider-Man demographic but for what we were given, Holland played the role of a teenager pretty spot-on. An annoying geek, no less.

IMAX makes everything better. IMAX 2D is preferable, but they only had one 9 am showtime that I couldn't make.

Saw it. Didn't like it as much as I had hoped. Overhyped maybe. Movie was too long, shoulda been an hour shorter. It really really dragged for a lot of parts, entirely unnecessary lengthy scenes. Previews were too long too but that's another story. I'll take it to the spoiler thread I guess cause I had problems with a shit load of stuff (like 30 conveniently placed cameras at a car accident in the woods). Whatever.

The fight scenes were good to great, I actually laughed out loud out of pure pleasure at some hits or moves during a few fights. Paul Rudd was as great as I had hoped, girlfriend feels spiderman is out of place cause he's so small compared to the rest and I tried to talk to her about it but gave up.

Side rant:

3d needs to stop being a thing. It should be reserved for Disney animated movies and shit like avatar and maybe warcraft. Stop making action movies and fast movies (the hobbit) in 3d. Stop. I want to see IMAX 2D, why is that impossible? Fights don't belong in 3d, I don't care what cameras you use. The only thing I liked about 3d use was the text for each location used that overlayed the scene behind it. CLEVELAND looked really cool in 3d. Caps arms looked good in 3d. Everything else burn it.

What a fantastic movie! Can finally read the Easter eggs. Serious movie and the funny scenes kept to a minimum and not forced unlike other marvel movies.

This was the first time ever that I doubted Disney, and shame on me for that. I have long been fascinated with the Civil War arc and figured that this would be some rushed hissy fit.


It completely exceeded my expectations. Really loved it. Go Sony for finding a way to shit money by lending Spidey out.


Also: Team Iron Man based on the film. They did an excellent job of making people understand both sides.

Ah fuck. Why doesn't Disney do 4k stuff yet! I'm not buying it on BR to only buy it again on 4k whenever they inevitably release it. I'm glad I'm not super into steelbooks.
