Ok so I go out of town and SE decides to open up the 3 new Delve areas. Now I'm behind!

As I've been scanning the thread page by page, I'm seeing that RNG performs well. However, most of the screenshots I'm seeing are RNG using Gun (most likely 119 Annihilator). Unfortunately, although my RNG is pretty good, I'm primarily a Bow user. Would a RNG using a Bow still perform well against the new bosses? Or is Gun the preferred route? I don't have Annihilator or Yoichi, but I am working on getting the Skirmish +2 Bow & Gun (soon as I get another damn KI)

We went in 18-man Marjami on our first run with 6 RNG for DD, 1-5NM+Boss and timed out with the boss at 7%. We had a few errors in our run, and only 2 of our RNGs were relic, so non-relic is viable. If possible you could have altered our setup to include another RNG as well to make up for losing relic rngs.



Has anyone put together maps of any of the new delve zones yet? I'm particularly interested in Yorcia/Kamihr areas.

RNG is good but unless you are going to use beads, it's not the only way to go.

Tiger has full dispel move and while I'm guessing its only with aura up, it does give rng an enormous advantage.

As for rng, gun is better for delve simply because Marjami is a joke regardess and you will want wildfire for Kamihr. No point bringing rng to Yorcia.

Only thing I can think of is spellcasting counts as abilities, or it was me and halato both WSing at the same time that caused it to respond with a 3k WS.

You know it could be coincidence, but i remember while doing Walk of Echoes, the Harpies in there would sometimes do ridiculous weaponskill damage, even to me as a 99 player (RDM at the time in I.lv 117 gear)... Just weak move weak move then bam, like 700 or more through my buffs and stuff, beyond the normal unresisted/resisted paradigm.

So perhaps this is a trait with the specie... I know it takes us no closer to solving this though.

its not WS at the same time. here are my logs. first wail after a pld eating dirt was 0, 30 secs later it did 3k+. only one WS in that time span, and it was while the NM was casting i think.

Podarge: Fight with Tank party(with Schs and Geos) and Rng party. Under 40% rangers stopped all damage and we nuked it down. Ravenous Wail/Shrieking Gail did 0 a few times, but never over 100. Make of that what you will.

Edit: Also with Dia spam all moves do virtually no damage. This would suggest that based on the damage you deal (Either all types or a specific type) Podarge's damage goes up (And is not random as some have suggested, sorry if this is obvious). After bringing Wail up to 1500 with ranged damage we then Dia spammed and the next Wail did 900. Possibly each WS it goes down X damage, or damage goes down with time(this would suck).

We also tried doing no WSs and just shooting, which still seemed to take Podarge's WS damage up.

We've had some serious hate problem with Wopket... It goes all fine and well until around 50% where it started spamming uproot. He literally did uproot x4 -> timber (at this point it all goes a bit haywire and i think the sch was help healing quite a bit so aura was up)-> uproot -> timber -> uproot. So we managed to get it down to about 18% before we timed out, with a lot of running around and dying mages. Made sch do caper Em. to stabilise the hate on a DD but of course didn't help after the next uproot.

This is the 2nd time i've seen him spamming uproot around 50% .. but looking around forums not one seems to have any issues with this but we've seen this twice already... Just wondering if I'm missing something here? Appreciate it if anyone can shed some light on this lol

We had the same problem did that to my lowman group. We did anything wind based mb wind couldn't drop the aura effect after 50%. Which made him uproot tiiimmber happy.

For Rinda Shield B Path I got it up to 11 and it is the -mdt path. It will finish at 75 HP 7 Vit and -3 mdt Still curious about the C path that starts with mp if anyone has done it. Also rest of Xaddi stats would be nice to see grouped somewhere.

Having some issues with the boar first one went down so smooth but the second one was just awful. We're bringing enough damage of each its just we proc'd the first one , but the second just leveled up so much.

For Pod, we've had our pld switch to Aegis, and survival rate goes up.

Also Wail dealt damage to our pld through invincible, which rules out physical, atleast entirely physical

Should rule out hybrid too. Though I suppose it is possibly it has some purely magical hits and purely physical hits though not sure there has ever been anything like that before.

We thought that dealing damage from sources that it isn't weak to caused it to level up. Eventually it stopped leveling up (reached a max?) and the damage type stopped changing.

Doubt it's 17', there aren't many (any?) 17' moves.
I had the impression it was 20' but it might be 15'.
Any more consistant data? Anybody tested?

When you have a full alliance it's kinda messy to go there as a buffer and rebuff, especially if you're supposed to swap between 2 pts.
Now if it were 15yalms we could find about possible solutions to address that (altough the hate reset can mess it up easily).
If it's 20' yalms it's still possible but much messier.
We had 2 pts of melees yesterday. It's not like you can pianissimo songs on all of them AND swap pts.
And anyway, I think that was too many melees on the Tree. Too much TP moves spamming for sure.

Wonder if Astral Conduit with the new Caith Sith Amnesia BP would work on the Tree? To give 30 free seconds of no TP moves.
Which in the end wouldn't probably make such a huge difference, yeah...

The tree's aura came down very quickly for us and he never used Timberrr. I do not know what we were doing. We used a group of 7.

Kamihr is easier than Yorcia, but less 6-man friendly. You have to fit a lot of damage types into 3 DDs, and melee killing the lion is only borderline viable due to dispel spam. We would need a way to reliably remove his Aura to really get it done easily. Took him to 47% last night or something, but he stripped all the SV melee buffs by 60%. Monk +2 RNG + COR + BRD + WHM could maybe do it. Wildfire, lunge, and QD for magic. Monk for Blunt. Everyone pulls out daggers for piercing. Axes and Swords for slashing. In case people were wondering, formless does not count as magic damage for these NMs.
