Learned something new today on Cailimh. It takes 3x magic damage while it's casting spells. Not sure if it matters if the aura is up or not.
We observed big physical dmg spikes as well, but we aren't sure if that means the same is true during TP moves.
nynja have you tried Sentinal's Scherzo on your pld?
Multiple times, it seems to be multihit, because it doesnt block it at all
the gnole seems to be shit on darksday (or nearing fullmoon 89%) did some bead farms no problem to silence it at all . darksday turns in and our next pop was almost impossible to silence, got so many resists to land it and even if it landed it barely stuck for long, wheread previous dayd i had a 100% land rate and very good duration.
this is with my hardcore tupsimati debuff set ...
Not sure if it was root of the problem or potted plant, but Wopket has a single target absorb move that transfers buffs to him. Probably good to throw dispels his way often to see if you can remove pro/shell/songs/rolls from him.
It's Root of the Problem. I'd never noticed Wopket using it, but I remember it from the WKR.
if they would copy me to test i coulddo all the weapons, but gonna sell all my +2 by the time the get around to copying me.
What's the general thoughts about the new 119 Delve Staff for SMN btw?
I can't make up my mind wether I should get it or not:
Path A: Would be much better than what I currently use for physical BPs (Soulscourge lol), but I don't know how much +att makes a difference these days after all the tweaks to pets. Back at level 75 it barely made a difference.
Path B: Only 5 mab difference from Balsam, could say the +22 macc is a good compensation for that small loss. Could sell my Balsam but wouldn't really make gil since it would take me 6 Airlixirs+2 to cap it
Path C: Could kinda use it as an inventory saver/replacement for both Soulscourge and Balsam... but would it be worth it? Doubt I'd make use of the PDT since I'd normally idle with a Perp staff, not this.
Also slightly OT if I'm not wrong, aside from Nirvana, Yaksomo Pole (Delve 113 SMN staff) is still the best choice for Avatar Macc? Should give +31 I think.
How worth is to have a Macc build for debuffs when you have a Seraphicaller? I never get a chance to use SMN in LS events so I don't really know how much the resistance is an issue in Delve or other endgame contents.
Atm I think I just use a simple SMN skill set in my debuff BPs. Could get much better if I were to hunt some decent Avatar: macc pieces I guess. (I currently have a Pet Macc+7 Hagondes Feet and could easily get a Yaksomo I guess)
I'm definitely doing path B, I don't need a mix and decent m.acc combined with heavy mab is smexy.
Yaksomo is good, but honestly the only thing I would really use it for is Tidal Roar. There are other uses that it obviously has, but yeah, that's the only really important one.
Well with a Nirvana you don't really have to worry about BP damageBut for everybody else, I'm having issues in understanding the value of that +Attack. Back at 75, as I said, it barely would have made a difference. But so many things changed with pets formulae and what I'm wondering is exactely this: would it make a difference today? Or still "meh"?
Honestly I'm not even sure it matters that much. For Ifrit's mixed BP you mainly rely on Mab, the only two other useful physical BPs that I can think right out of my mind are Predator's Claw and Ramuh's (can't remember name).
Both are crit-based and I think they don't get that much benefit from straight +att.
So, supposing I'm right with my deductions, you shouldn't really need to get a "physical BP" staff, especially if you have other things in your mind you want to spend >8 mils on.
On the other hand a Macc staff could be useful to stick debuffs (that is: if the resist rate in Delve and other endgame content is really that high with Seraphicaller. But... is it? I never had a chance to test myself)
With Nirvana, Seraphicaller, 499 Summoning Skill and Pet MACC+50 (Regimen Mittens, Glyphic Spats +1, Samanisi Cape, Caller's Pigaches +2) I can reliably land Diamond Storm on anything not resistant to Ice in Delve and "Difficult" BCs. Even Slowga, Sleepga (on VD AA pets) and Eerie Eye (only the Silence effect) land fine. This is however not the case at all with my normal BP ward set composed of Summoning Skill and Blood Boon pieces. Tidal Roar is in a different category with an abnormally high accuracy.
Pet ATK has a real impact on physical BPs against HL monsters, you can easily see a big difference with Beast Roll and Dia. The problem is that without (or even with) Nirvana/rolls and despite the recent changes, physical BPs are still surpassed by Merit BP, Night Terror or Flaming Crush in almost every situations.
Thanks for the insight.
Have there evere been conclusive tests on the conversion rate of SMN skill to Acc/Macc? I always assumed it to be somewhere close to 1:1 or 0,9:1 after a certain threshold (like it is for many other things) but I don't remember reading good tests about it.
Has it ever been tested if Magic Accuracy Skill+ affects magic Blood Pacts?
Never seen any test but I don't see why any non "pet:" stat should affect pets.
SMN skill being the exception, but it makes sense for it to be since it's the skill tha regulates your "skill" with summoned pets.
While it would make sense why they would do that there are a lot of skill things that don't translate over. If I had to guess I'd imagine the whole ilvl pet and frequent adjustment to it's stats were there way of more easily making the stats good without having to convert over things like stuff like that.
I don't think I've seen anyone try. macc testing is bad enough that few do it but when you throw in things like waiting on ja timers, only skill above cap counting (makes it harder to test on weaker stuff), and the annoying habit avatars have of attacking the thing you are testing on. acc would be just as bad since it's only on bps.
