If by very decent you mean vastly inferior to pld in every way then yes. It probably can tank the zone but it will be noticeably worse than a pld.

There is 0 reason to ever bring a run to yorcia and I imagine it would make kamihr even worse than it already is with 2rng+mnk setup.

he said they have no aegis pld for marjami and no tank for yorcia, so I just wanted to give him some help and hints, never said it surpasses pld with aegis/ochain, fact still remains that its a decent tank.

Thanks for trying to help Damane. At least you mean well. Sadly I have none of the "desired jobs" to do much of anything nowadays so I'm pretty much stuck unless I paid out millions of gil to a LS to allow me to come along on their runs, which ain't happening.

dear god, he is trying to make out the best he can with the jobs available to him that are geared. yes lvling isnt time consumeing, but gearing the job properly is. So its not like you can ding to 99 and just do delve without proper gear... This comment is beyond useless.

It takes longer to force a square peg in a round hole then it takes to shave off the squared edges and fit the now round peg in the round hole.


Leveling PLD, gearing it moderately decently with a Beatific Shield would get a win faster than trying to win with a shitty setup, not to mention the residual effect of having a useful job in the future as well as not having to worry about LS morale dropping because of constantly losing by trying to force something that has a much higher difficulty scale than necessary. Disliking the advice doesnt make it wrong. You can either try and fail for 2 weeks, or you can level PLD in 1-5 days, gear it up in 2 days, and win.

You cant just consider suitability against the boss, theres 5 NM's you have to deal with as well.

Except leading him to believe that run is a remotely good tank, for this or anything else. Isn't providing him with info that will actually result in wins.

Except RUN/BLU can tank marjami T1-T5+boss exceptionally well. Don't knock it before you try it? inb4 "unique snowflake" comment

If his RUN is as decent as he claimed to be, and his pt fail marjami for two weeks, it's probably not even the tank job issue that the pt fail.


Edit: I mean, if a pt with RUN can't win marjami for two weeks, they may not be able to win with a Beatific Shield PLD too. Worst case scenario just farm bead and get win, that's still faster than level PLD in 1~5 days and gear up in 2 days.

I didn't assume you fail Marjami for two weeks, just saying any pt with decent RUN fail that zone for two weeks(including using beads), it's probably not because they use RUN as tank. I was just pointing out NynJa was exaggerating by saying a pt with RUN gonna fail for two weeks and change RUN to a Beatific Shield PLD can magically solve the issue and get win.

Learn english, because nothing there implies having already failed for 2 weeks. I said you can guarantee your success much faster (with a lower difficulty scale) in the time it will take you to kill morale by forcing something that might not work.
