I'm comparing what it is now because this is how things are now lol
I just shared my point of view on how this system "feels" to players like me.
Of course this will not be how everybody feels about it, but I'm willing to bet many others feel the same way.
Judging from the last questionnaire we compiled, probably more than I thought.
It's a nice system, it has potential to be long-time lasting and to bring back long-gone systems of the past (merit-like pts etc), which is probably the 2 main goals they wanted to achieve with this system.
Still, at the moment, it's nowhere near the "sweet spot" where it should be, imho.
yea i have pretty much they all suck
Personally I love DNC, RUN and SCH job points.
I guess SMN ain't too bad either.
SAM's is pretty awesome at least for Hasso.
Really like 3/4 of Geo's, though they're not terribly job defining or changing, just nice quality of life touches. Bolster's survivability increase is going to be very substantial once we have access to the 30 cap, +90% HP and +30 Regen. Shouldn't need to recast your Geo- spell at all, barring the mob running out of it.
A lot of them are like that nice but not really as game changing as most merits at a much higher cost. Some are just really meh especially depending on what you do with them
BLU's are turning out to be pretty much required, which is incredibly contradictory to their original concept for the system.
Anybody know a good spot in Woh Gates for a standard pt? (DDs+healer+buffers)
same Need a camp, tried Drusty Twitherym(butterflies) and Talus Tarichuk(efts, link) camp i-8 in Woh gates, with mnk war rng rng brd whm, was awful, heard it's super easy with a group of Sams thou, next tried Worm and Rabiit(link) camp in same zone i-6, slightly better, just a lot of dmg done by rabbits, seems can kill the 6 worms back to back, and keep chain going... is there a place similar to this with more worms? or equally as squishy aoe debuffs are no problem with capable whm
I found a somewhat nice camp.
SW corner of G-5 square. 5 worms pop in there, and there are at least 3 worms in the room west and 3 more worms in the room east.
Corridors have 1 Bomb each.
This camp is fantastic as long as you pay attention for the Bomb's Hypothermal thingy (self destruct).
Only annoying part of this camp is the Elemental that pops in the main room (G-5).
With a melee setup he can be annoying not just for the damage but for his AoE terror move, lasts a lot too... really annoying if you don't kill it fast.
Can abuse of the Spoils > Earth Crystal RoE and the Conflict: Woh Gates I (worms).
I also saw quite a few very nice camps with lots of umbrils (SW zone of the map) and Acuexs (center of the map?)
Close to the SW exit of the map there's also a nice camp with frogs + Butterflies (Conflict II iir).
But Butterflies have annoying AoEs so I dunno if I'd suggest that, ont he other hand frogs should be very very very easy.
Despite the PT being a PUG (setup was: 4songs BRD, Mythic THF, BLU, Mythic SAM, dualboxed SCH healer, SMN) we reached uhm ~187k CP/hr (with the 2x thing going on, so it would be ~90k CP/hr). It was falling down when elemental popped sadly.
It's not that much higher than some of the best PTs I had in Dho Gates at my favourite camp, but there I had a COR using Corsair's Roll, so numbers are not really compareable.
Anybody remembers how much XP/hr an average merit PT would give you at level 75? I seem to recall around 70k XP/hr? Or was it higher? Lower?
Seem to remember people crowing about 30k/hr-ish.
I meant CP/hr of course. 187/hr would have been insanely horrible even for the worst PUG pt lol
Fixing the typo in my post
What are you using to count capacity/hr?
Edit: NVM!
