my friend invited me to coop and made my game incredibly easy. "Ancient History" heist, pays 25000, and bonus of up to 45000. He told me to just stay back and not get in combat, so i got the full bonus, then we repeated a few times and now I have master/legendary gear in sequence 4. lmao.

If you're ok with afking I just did all the cafe missions and bought all the other places to get 10k ever time the timer is up. Then I just afk and come back every 40 minutes or so to cash out.

Review embargoes are lame. But the company isn't making you buy the game without reading a review first. I don't see the point in arguing against a self imposed hinderance.

speaking of, I find it really odd and off-putting that all the french citizens have an assortment of british accents. had a french guard shout something about "bashing my 'ead like an ole potato"

^ Was very lame. Its like the only on-staff VA they have do faux English accents only. I guess in that thousand-hand team, they couldn't find a few people that could speak a with a little French vanilla on the tongue.

I think the reason they gave for this was that they wanted the dialogue largely in English but thought listening to actual French VAs flub English would have been more irritating than anything else, and I have to agree.

given the company, and state of the game, i find it far more likely they were just too cheap/lazy to look for a new cast/invest in any sort of vocal training.

Well I just beat it. The story was pretty damn bland but I guess none of them really have a great story. It wasn't a bad game and once they clean up the glitches it will be more fun. The Co-op stuff is really where the game shines. Being forced to use the app to unlock chests is really annoying and i wish it would be patched out but I know it wont.

i give it a 7/10. Will pick it up again when it gets cheap to do more of the co-op stuff.

Strange considering its a french company

Story-wise, it's because the Animus automatically translates everything in to your language. But in reality, it's probably to make it easier for English-speaking players to understand. I mean, otherwise they could easily have had the VA's who do the French version of the game also do the English one. I highly doubt it's a money issue in this case, given that they already have French, Spanish, Italian and German. Probably Chinese, Japanese etc. in Asia as well.

I do seam to recall them mentioning that compared to 3 and 4 theres less of a need to give people accents to show what nationality they are since paris is more Homogeneous.
