Our neighbor crashed into our garage, messing up the wooden post between the two doors. Homeowners insurance gave an estimate for $5800 to fix, cut a check for $4800 after deductible.

Just finished getting it fixed for $3000. $1800 profit and a new post to replace the 90 year old dry rotten one that was in there.

Our driveway is really steep and really short (less than a car length to the sidewalk), and we live on a narrow street. It's like a magnet for some reason for people who want to turn around to park. It's actually the second time in less than 4 years someone has done this. First lady just hit the left door, $800 fix.

Not really. Would have to put out cones or something but then we'd have to move them every time we came or went. It's a very urban, high density neighborhood near downtown LA - just the cost of city living.

Just got back from Florida and Disney World on Saturday morning, and somehow convinced hubby we need to go down to Disneyland this weekend for the 60th anniversary kickoff. Yay for 3 day weekends and annual passes.
