Retail and/or restaurant service so people can be humbled and also learn about the worst of humanity.

I can attest to being in restaurant industry, people fucking sucks sometimes. I was working in the kitchen so I didn't get it nearly as bad as the servers, but damn. The worst would be working in a fine dining restaurant that is not fine enough to have them stars, so you still get a lot of ratchet people that thinks they're a chef because they cook at home sometimes.

I still remember eating at a chain steakhouse one time and I ordered a fillet and they sent out what was clearly a sirloin and had to argue to get them to send me the right damn cut.

I was an expoditer and the cooks loved me, the servers not so fucking much. When I knew every bit of the menu but they had to ask me everyday what was available I told them to GTFO my line.

I'm submissive as fuck but in that job I learned quick how to be assertive. Everything fell apart when I left..

My younger brother turned 34 2 weeks ago and he's still living with my dad (who's 65 next week). He's had 1 job since he left school. It was at a petrol station for maybe 6-12 months and it seems to have put him off working for life. He hasn't had a job for so long I can't remember when he even worked at that petrol station (at least 10 years). The trouble is is that my dad is too lenient on him and lets him get away with it. My dad even pays for my brother's car insurance (which he hardly ever drives). So basically my brother doesn't have to pay for anything.

My twin brother (35) also lives with my dad. I used to live with him but I got fed up of paying rent when I could be putting it towards a mortgage, so we split ways and I live on my own. He also made a bad decision and got a big loan, so he's paying that off. He has a job but he doesn't contribute towards any household bills (food, utilities etc.) - he just spends money on his car. His reason for not giving my dad any money is that if our younger brother doesn't, why should he?

It pisses me off no end. I even confronted my younger brother about 4 years ago and got into a big fight about it but my dad didn't support my argument and my brother 'won'. I didn't speak to my brother for a couple of years. I've unfortunately come to accept the status quo and we've 'made up' so to speak. When we all get together as a family (mum, grandma etc.) we all ignore the problem. There's nothing I can do until my dad decides to do something.

Worked my butt off this week. Our Health and Safety manager got a chiropractor to come in today for company provided back and shoulder massage. Good way to start a weekend with my stiff neck and shoulders all tenderized.

So I was told be a few friends I essentially have a help desk job locked. I am apparently the only person they're interviewing and as long as I pass the standard BDI, I'm in.

Pays to know 5 guys who work for the corporation, one guy being a team project lead.

Went to a church sale tonight. Snagged a bag of 14 DS games for twenty bones. Saw Mario Kart in there so I figured I'd make my money back on that alone. Opened the baggy up in the car and it contained the following.

Church sales are no joke. My sister sold stuff at a kids consignment sale last year and made enough money to cover a trip to Disney for a week with her husband and two sons. I tend to stick with what I know I can make money aka games. We're starting to buy kids stuff at garage sales and church sales to resell at one big consignment sale.

I've been a big fan of the Real World/Road Rules Challenges for years now and my favorite competitor has always been Wes from Real World Austin.

Currently I'm trying to start a business and have been given the opportunity to pitch the idea to a startup incubator which will give me access to all of the major investors in the area.

Well it turns out that I have to make my pitch to Wes himself. Not sure if I should be excited for the opportunity for my business or nervous that I may bring up something from the Challenges that he doesn't want to talk about.
