Honestly I did a lot of reading through articles and followed friends on FB previously that did it too. There's a popular YouTube video called "Butter makes your pants fall off" that is a good start.
There are so variations of this way of eating but the basic idea is less than 20g carbs per day. It sounds horrible at first but it's pretty easy. Eggs, bacon, coconut oil, leafy greens, chicken, pork, fish, red meat, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, zucchini, Avocado, Cashews and almonds ( in moderation) , butter, heavy whipping cream are all staples for us now. We also buy a zero carb protein powder called ISOPURE on Amazon. It's awesome.
I don't go crazy and not never allow myself things, life isn't meant to feel deprived. I try to save those indulge days for special occasions or vacation now overall. For me it's awesome for a female disease I have and has improved everything from energy to my skin and my digestive issues have disappeared.
It never hurts to try. I seriously recommend watching Fed Up on Netflix. It's eye opening on sugar and as a lifelong sugar addict, it's amazing to not want it anymore.
