My father was a mailman for over 32 years, he stopped working 5 years too early (that was 10 years ago) because of his legs and since then he's been limping (he's 63 atm). Hospital been fucking with him saying 'your leg is fine you don't need an operation blah blah' and due to that if my dad stands up with his legs together, the middle separates (makes kinda a hole between his legs).

So he called me earlier saying hospital called him and he will get his first operation september 25th (he asked 1 leg at a time). So he'll be in 'readdaptation" for about 5months, and then he'll have to do the other leg

But finally he'll get the operation

Is this full amputation, or just new knees?

He told me it was the full leg, they arranged the house so that he could get all he need without having to use the stairs (for when my mom needs to go work)

Also i'm not sure if amputation is the good word, I mean he won't lose his leg, he's mostly gonna use a cane so he doesn't put weight on it, till it heals

It sounds like your dad is getting knee replacements rather than entirely new legs. Congrats that he is getting it fixed. I am not looking forward to the possibility of joint replacement as I get older but my mom in her 60's has had hip, knee, and soon shoulder done.

I fear I'll need at least one knee and maybe my hip the way it's been feeling the past year, both same leg. Neither unfortunately qualify as bad enough for any form of disability, though. Really felt it today walking my dog about twice as long to drop some mail off for my dad. All from likely my combined football injuries from 16 or so years back coming to bite me.

Checked my ISP's website today and they're offering higher speeds in my area.

I just called and upgraded. for $10 more/month (I was paying 57, now paying 67), I went from 35mbps download/5mbps upload to 110down/10up
