Corporation I work for announced their new head office in downtown Winnipeg, next to the still renovating convention center and spitting distance from my second hou... I mean the MTS Centre.

Renovations and move won't be until likk 2019, but everyone in my office is fucking stoked we're getting windows, YAY!

I've rezzed the cd player part of my 9 year-old "boom box" after finding my lost Modest Mouse albums. That thing cost me $150 and a speeding ticket (Fuck you, day after christmas and first day off after two weeks at a video game retail job). I went and got one of those cd lens cleaner discs and that didn't work either. I'd keep getting either a "no disc" display or the constant sound of the motor moving trying to read whatever was in there. First disc that finally worked (after a session of prolonged swearing) was Metallica's '...And Justice for All". It works perfectly fine now.

Had a bad start to the day yesterday but walked into a store that had an awesome sale of buy one clearance dress get two free. Got 3 dresses , 3 skinny belts and kitty cat flats for $100. Original price of the 3 dresses alone was almost $300. And I fit into way smaller sizes than before.
