I MADE GRAVY THAT WAS THE RIGHT THICKNESS
I MADE GRAVY THAT WAS THE RIGHT THICKNESS
Fucking amazing, Gokku, congrats! This dude's not lying. His situation wasn't as bad as CS but he's come a looooong way. Really happy for you!
rofl.
I made one of those mini turkey breast things from butterball. They always give a gravy packet that I follow the directions to the letter and it never thickens. This time I added a flour butter mixture to it until it did. I have conquered my gravy problem. Next is trying to make a good steak.
I had issues with different types of roux in the past with clumping in such. I think I finally found a method that works for me. I really want to be a good cook. I try very hard to be. But what seems to be simple to others just never works right when I do it.
Never tastes very good, but I think we've had this convo before. I wanted to try the whole grill on high to sear and then keep it in the heat off the flames to finish, but my grill is a small gas one that has no "off the flame" area.
Speaking of food, chicken parm came out good. Got lots for lunch next two days too. Electric skillet is the best thing ever. Also, I made the smallest mess when it comes to flour this time, good job me.
The chicken parm, it tastes so good.
You are either buying shitty steak or you don't know what steak is supposed to taste like.
What are you doing seasoning-wise? Take pictures next time too. Before, during and after.
My new goal before 2016 is to help you cook a fucking steak properly. How the fuck do you even get through steak and blowjob day? Do you feign a toothache amd just throw your grill out?
How do you fuck up cooking a steak? Hell I can start up a 1lb sirloin with with a nice rub, go jack off and clean up just in time for it to be done.
Shit takes no effort whatsoever. The only way to fuck it up is by cooking it too long.
Well, in Ksandra's defense, it sounds like her steaks come out better than CS's. Though that's not saying much.
Seriously, this is the procedure for my lazy ass:
Start heating cast iron skillet on stove and turn broiler on.
Throw steak in bowl. Cover in olive oil. Douse in garlic salt and pepper and rub that shit all in.
Toss on skillet for like 30s per side or til it looks slightly brown.
Transfer skillet to broiler for 1:45- 2.5 min per side maximum, depending on size of steak.
Take steak out, put on plate, cover with aluminum foil while I make some instant potatoes or veggies or some shit.
Voila. Food.
