I passed the second (and final) of my teacher certification exams, the Professional Education Test. Damn expensive tests, but I'm glad they're done. Now all that's left is to finish this semester, then my internship and graduation.
Congratulations, Aks! We all give ya shit, but we're proud of your successes, too! What ya gonna teach?
Thanks! Secondary English, preferably high school, though I'll be certified for 6-12, so really anywhere in that range. I was considering taking additional exams so I could be more marketable, but at $200 a pop, I think I'll stick with the ones I need, as both of these were graduation requirements.
MasterChef Junior is back.
Get all the certs you can. It'll help you in the long run.
In the job market now there are tons of teachers competing for the same jobs. One that has more experience will beat those just getting out of school, generally, but if you have a couple more certifications that the other people don't then your resume will stand out.
This coming from a guy that spends $400 a pop on engineering certification tests. Get your license, take continuing education courses, join organizations related to your field, get more titles.
I will eventually, but I just can't afford it at the moment.
In a weekly bar sports league. Won the championship tonight for the second season in a row, 4th season in a row in the championship round. Took home the winner glass each teammate gets along side the beer pitcher that one player on the team gets.
Found $5 At the mall. Bought a $5 scratch. Won $15. Bought a ticket for the 6/49, a $10 scratch and walked away with $1.
Also the job I left 2 people I hired and didn't even work with remembered me and said hi.![]()
How did you get 1$ out of that? 6/49 is 3 dollars, extra is 1 dollar, and 10$ scratch is 10$...unless you mean you lost on all of them?
Yeah, so he spent 14$, lost on all of those, and walked away with the 1$ he didnt spend.
Shoulda bought a 1$ scratch too.
$2,000 bonus check from work today. Aww yiss.
Hard root beer and ice cream sandwiches for breakfast...it's been a long week, gentlemen.
It's my GF's birthday today. Took her to a cabin for the weekend to relax in the Shenandoah valley as her present. Woke up today to her giving me a blowjob, on her birthday as thanks for the birthday present.
I had an IUD placed about two months ago, and I just realized today that it's been well over a month since my last period. They told me that I might be able to say goodbye to periods for as long as I have it in, and it looks like that's gonna be the case. Fuck yes.
(Side note, no, I'm not pregnant, I haven't had sex in long enough for that to be a possibility, unfortunately.)
I'm somewhat jealous since I can't do that IUD shit. I on the other hand am fucking blessed with PCOS and my cycles are lire like a horror story. Last month it lasted 3 weeks , got a 2 week reprieve then this week it's all like suffer bitch ..argh.
Nothing helps even traditional BC so fuck adding more hormones to my body. Have you had an IUD before ? I only ask because about 90% of women I personally know who've had them experience issues anywhere from immediately to 2 years later. I just can't do it even though my previous doctors were basically guilt tripping me.

No, this is my first one. I am (quite luckily) the very definition of normal when it comes to menstrual stuff. I don't have any debilitating symptoms, maybe some cramping from time to time, some breakouts, nothing serious though. Every 28 days like clockwork, etc. I'll definitely monitor it. Now that I have VA health I feel like I can get everything checked regularly which is why I finally switched to something more long-term than just taking the pill.
