Well, hope you don't get fired for coming in to work with whiskey on your breath. Good luck.

Settlement with Tigerdirect is close to what I was seeking. Very happy with the outcome.
I must have missed the story, but congrats!
Win: My dad got a new job. He's now the Dean of Health Sciences at a very cool College. It's going to disrupt their life (since the college is several hours away and he'd need to be there most of the time), but this is by far the most exciting of all the prospects he had. I think he's going to really enjoy it.
That's awesome! Congrats to your dad!
i hope he gets to bang hella students
Oh, speaking of wins that aren't ours but are still awesome, my best friend had his dissertational defense yesterday and he was given word that he is officially graduating with his PhD as of this month. I was in class when he texted me the news and I literally couldn't stop myself from gasping out loud and tears coming to my eyes because I know how hard he has been working on this and I'm so proud of him. I am hoping to take him out to celebrate soon, but sometime after finals are over because there's absolutely no time for that right now.
Where did he go that he didn't just pay for the PhD
I'm making my confused face. Of course he paid for it? Though I think the university funded some of it, I don't exactly ask people about their finances on a regular basis.
He's making a derogatory statement because the implication is that they're taking his money and giving him a piece of paper.
Also, paying for a PhD is not necessarily standard. Scientific disciplines underpay you to come deal with the horrible clusterfuck that is academia.
Oh, I wouldn't know about all that. I'm still working on finishing my B.S. Grad school of any sort is but a distant dream.
Fair enough.
I mean I want to do it, but my debt is too high right now and taking on more debt seems stupid for a marginal increase in salary.
Don't bother.
Seriously.
Don't bother.
Oh I'm not. Literally the only way I would consider doing it would be if I could have it paid for in its entirety, and I doubt that will happen.
Wife managed to secure presale tickets for Breaking Benjamin with Starset in March.
