My buddy started seeing this chick that works at the local football team store a couple months ago and just let me know she got us free season tickets this year.
Woo.

Steelers season ticket waiting list is like 35 years long but I guess no one cares about the CFL

Honestly who the fuck would want Steelers season tickets, yech.
Except for you know, the loyal fans who never stopped following them even when they sucked?
And I would have, if I hadn't been too young and actually lived in Pittsburgh? So how about stop putting words into my mouth? Kthx.
Because my online persona is exactly like my RL persona, just like everyone else who posts here right?
Yeah, probably.
Let's put it this way, I post here a lot more than I socialize with real people. If you think people don't like me because of how I act on here, that's likely not the case because most people hardly talk to me in the first place.
I have a meeting to go to so I can't continue this.
youre answering your own questions lol
yeah, this is one reason i was actually quite comfortable meeting IRL with folks i knew through XI. either A: you're the person I know after years of playing vidya or B: you're a fucking psycho who creates and lives as another person for years at a time, in which case I'm probably fucked anyway cos you know my name and roughly where i live.
plus, yknow, they checked out on google/facebook.
also, "oh i just act that way its not really me" is bullshit (and that's where this is going). IT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE INSIDE, IT'S WHAT YOU DO THAT DEFINES YOU etc etc.
To be fair, I have known people to be complete opposites irl and in game.
I have a friend who I refuse REFUSE to play mmos with now. He is a constant whiner (when are you guys going to help me? I am so bored. I need money. etc. etc.) and user in games. Back in the day where people did lvl 20 twinks in wow we spent forever running his toon through dungeons to deck it out as a hunter. Now even then getting to 20 was really fast, but he decided he liked hunter so much...he leveled the twink passed 20 instead of a new toon.
Two weeks later he asked if we could do it again for his new toon hunter because he realized he'd rather have a hunter twink. Fuck. That. I swear though he is pretty chill and cool peeps in the IRL. It's like Jekyll and Hyde, I can't even remotely understand it.
It's more like, I'm a lot more quiet and reserved in person and it takes me a while to come out of my shell. Around here it's easier for me to speak my mind and be uninhibited because there's that anonymity. Perhaps it's true that to some extent I really have no filter on BG, but in person it takes a lot more to get me to speak up and say what I'm really thinking and keep myself from saying or acting in a way that would put someone off.
Part of the reason I have difficulty making friends is that it is hard for me to just approach someone out of nowhere and start to talk, and sometimes I am so closed off I'm probably coming off as unapproachable. You guys wouldn't see that because A. this is the internet, snd B. I already know the community here and have some level of comfort.
