Was just in New Orleans two months ago as well so let me hook you with amazing tips.

Go to the Davenport Lounge at the Ritz for beignets I am telling you it pummels everywhere else. Also if you go like weds-sat night the jazz band will be playing which is dope.

Go brunch at the Ruby Slipper, right around the corner from the W on Canal.

If you are there on a Tuesday you have to go to The Rum House on Magazine st (you'll need to cab) for taco Tuesday. Bruh it is unreal the taco situation they got going on. Make sure to get the brisket.

Also you are really fucking up if you don't go eat lunch at Butcher in the Warehouse district (easy walk from the quarter) it is owned by the same celebrity chef that owns Cochon. Holy shit bro it is the best bbq and Mac n cheese I have ever had.

All of these places are super affordable aside from the Ritz which isn't even bad if you are just doing dessert.

Made it official that I'm going to Mexico to see the kids for Christmas. It's been far too long since the last time I've gone to see them. I plan to be there just in time for Christmas and then stay for my younger son's 10th birthday.
