Dude its retarded good right now. All ET Maintainence is gone (I'm an ET so heyo). We moved all 4 SROs to central since the actual panels have been turned off for a good while and then collapsed the 4 watches into 2 so we have 87 people for my shift. I stand 12-20 hours of watch a shift week now. The rest of the time is training (2 hours a real week), playing on a PS4, or napping.

Probably the biggest surface hookup if you don't care about the lack of EPs the command can give out.

Damn... surface nuke life so much even better than the non nuke life on a sub and forget the being a nuke on a sub lol. Without going into too much detail your normal sounds about like how it was during holiday standdowns while we were in long term shutdown/cooldown. Well except the maintenance part still had to do maintenance because even with every other division having most of their equipment in layup RC div can't shut anything down ever. And we'd stay in normal 3 section duty (not sure how your shift weeks were like) with 12 hours a watch a duty day <.<.

Only good part was all that sweet sweet sub and pro pay... loljk those were shit what was nice was bah being enough to pay for me to pay the rent on a 5 bedroom house by myself while having 3 roomates (at least after they stopped jewing me out of it). And the reenlistment bonuses were insane. Like in the 3 years I was aboard they almost tripled for me.

Eeeeh, it varys from how good it gets. Back in the deployment/we were actually doing shit era we were 3 or 4 section duty, plenty of maintenance (Each plant dealt with 2 reactors after all). Watch rotations on deployment in 2011 were 5 on, 10 off. 2012 was 5 on, 15 off and later we managed to support augment for the Senior In Rate watches.

Right now I got a friend that's in 3 section duty with 1600 work days. I don't miss that shit.

Our new bed is fucking amazing, I never want to leave. I also regret not buying a king size 6 years ago. Never again will I downsize.

This was us and finally it feels amazing. We spent about 4K between the bed and Sterns and Foster mattress but no regrets. Worth every fucking penny. It is amusing for my short 5'2 self trying to get in though lol.

Shit when I bought my first bed the mattress I ended up wanting only came in queen and king so I was like might as well king it up. All that room is glorious even when it's just me on it. Didn't hurt that there was a store going out of business sale, some kind of holiday weekend sale and got military discount so ended up being like half off their normal prices which were already much lower than all the other competitors in town. Only problem was kind of a unique mattress at the time (shredded latex which is fucking awesome btw) so they didn't really stock them and had to order one built. That said as much as I love it I still gotta lie down on the shitty twin mattress I have setup in the closet. Nostalgia is a bitch especially when it's over shitty submarine racks. Plus it's always nice to have a small enclosed sleep nook with no sources of sound or light in it.

Also if you haven't already if you are going with good bed/mattress if you haven't already invest in a good pillow. I didn't at first and continued with shitty ones but eventually upgraded and what a difference. Got 1 comfort foam and 1 shredded latex which is nice to switch between depending on what I need at the time. I think like hypoallergenic sheep wool from Canadian or some nonsense. $100 each but 6 years in and they just as awesome as when I got them and makes sleeping on even shitty mattresses not so bad
