Ha; I can finally post in this thread.

Basically, I was awarded a scholarship for summer classes (even though I graduated in Spring); It was to my understanding that the scholarship was for tuition only and not like the grants I had gotten in the past, where you get to keep the remainder.

The scholarship was for $1,500 and required that I be enrolled in at least 6 credits (and since there was 1 class I was legit interested in taking; I signed up for 2 just to take the one class for free).

So checking on the scholarship, it showed that my classes were paid and no anticipated refund (obviously).

So after the first week of class, I said fuck it, the other class I signed up for was too much work, so I dropped it. I said if I ended up owing for the other class, now that I dropped down to 3 credits, then I'd just drop it as well.

Turns out that the class was still paid for and that I did not owe any money, so I was able to stay in it

and even better, I just got an email today saying that I WAS awarded the remainder, even though I wasn't supposed to get the remainder of what wasn't spent. Not only that, but since I dropped that other class, I got even more. The class I dropped was a 600 class, the one I stayed in was 390. So 1,500-390 I basically just got $1,100 thrown into my account that I wasn't expecting, get to take the class I wanted, and got out of the one I didn't want to take. (would have gotten 600 less if I had stayed in the other class)
