Went to Maryland Live! Casino last night to whore myself to some Hold'em. Walked away with $2400. I really should entertain the idea of becoming a part time poker player, at the very least show up 2-3 times a month. Used to be a legit second income when I lived in Germany and played every week.

That's impressive! What limits do you play (or was it a tournament)? I'd love to do it but I do not have enough disposable income to sustain losses and scared money don't make money so...

I have a acquaintance who was a pro poker player with a few million as a bankroll from investors. He structured himself as an LLC and would payout like 6-12% depending on the year. He got poached by a hedge fund to help with client acquisition but makes much less money now. He still plays in AC/Vegas twice a month. Gets flown out by the casinos to play against whales. It's definitely an easy second income.
