The BCC is just too small for Otakon anymore. The DC convention center is amazing, though. I was there for a car show a year or two ago and it's gigantic, with so much space it should easily take care of the crowds. Plus, transportation is so simple since the trains drop you off at the doorway.

random win: my brother's finally moving out of the house this friday, meaning no more smoke wafting into my room at night, no more waking up at 8 am to my bathroom light shining in my nice dark room for 2 hours while he hogs it, no more skunks being lured to our apartment from the pot he smokes (probably), no more of my sodas mysteriously going missing, and no more horrible "music" being blasted loud enough for me to hear clearly with earbuds on!

as an added bonus, my moms cat threw up on his inflatable bed as a going away present, right smack in the middle of the blanket on top. laughed so hard at that, and left it for him to discover on his own. XD

Finally some good news after the last 24 hours of hell. My pap came back normal for the first time in 3 years , the IUD was successful even with my irregular issues and I'm getting discharged from the hospital also soon.

Hopefully the biopsies show nothing too and I'll be in the clear awhile. Note to self though : If they suggest a spinal anesthesia in future demand a hospital stay at the start because waiting 7 hours in recovery is not fun.

Been working a shit hole job for 3 years. Pay is decent but I'm still dreadfully underpaid. Boss recently reassigned me a ton of new work after hiring a new guy for a promotion I applied for then didn't give the new guy any work. I knew I was hired for a new job and waiting for paperwork in the background. I'm in a all hands meeting with all managers and staff and it's announced that I'm leaving for the new job soon. This was the first time my boss heard about it so the look of wtf on his face was priceless. Next week is my last week there and I can't fkn wait.

Congrats that's awesome ! I know when I put my notice in my job before my current our GM had just left a month prior. A new GM started and was appalled I was leaving , pulled me aside after only seeing my performance a few weeks and asked if there was anything he could do to keep means me as he expressed what an asset I was.

I basically told him my direct manager was the reason after passing me over the unqualified person who had to ask how to do basic functions daily who was there less than 6 months. His look of disgust at my reason for leaving and the fact he actually gave a damn stuck with me.

My guests at Marriott actually wrote my asshat supervisor letters of recognition to try to get me to stay. Worst part was when they asked me if my supervisor told me , I had to say no. They were pissed and showed me them personally in their phones or iPads and as upset as they were understood why.
