im going to listen to a breaking benjamin on the yuotube
The video started with a 10 second ad, it somehow got worse from there.
Don't make me bring up my boys Crossfade..... Time to blast some Colors.
I'm just hoping this years Aftershock festival can come close to matching what Rock on the Range is getting this year. Looking at their lineup, i'd say 2/3 of the bands at least i'd pay to see individually. Yet looking at the lineup I see Machine Gun Kelly and all I can think of is one of these does not belong, one of these is not like the others. But the fact Ghost and Avatar on the same festival......

Just got offered a job interview w/Best Buy to sell computers. Not Geek Squad. Not sure if this is a win or fail.
Geek Squad really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. You make a couple bucks more an hour but deal with infinite more bullshit. About the only plus side is the occasional tip if you go out for an install that you have to keep secret from the company as they don't allow tips, unless they changed that policy.
In my area Geek Squad requires an Associates + 2 years experience. Glass Door says pay is at most $13/hr. Hardly good pay but I wouldn't have to deal with people being telephone tough guys and getting a talking to if it takes me more than a minute and a half to take a shit.
Does the floor job have commission?
LOL yeah you would, or worse. I did Fry's equivalent, been talked down to, had printers thrown at me, screamed at, insulted, etc. The fact they require an associates degree to fucking install a router tells you all you need to know about the corporate bullshit you'd be putting up with.
I only have an associates degree and my title is actually management class with the county (though I'm the only IT person for this entire agency), and at top step make more than triple. My associates degree was actually more than all the site managers had when I did IT at the sheriff's office.
If you are interested in IT work, seriously look at a county/city job. I make almost triple what I did at Fry's, and maybe 1/3 of the work.
Also the only commission working at Best Buy now is selling extended warranties.
Unless Best Buy has recently changed their policies, their salesmen do not earn a commission.
I was a PCHO associate at Best Buy for 3 years. I met a lot of good people and purchased a TON OF STUFF at a fucking steal. The job is typically dealing with old people who want to buy a "Computer with internet" and the random who need ink or a modem. I recommend it to get through college -- you learn a decent amount about growing your customer service skills -- oh and the discount is nice.
Got a raise and I'm getting $2800 back on my tax return. 2016 starting strong
Had both my university observation and a district walk-through today. Killed both.
What you describe for your customer experience is exactly why I will not work a job like Geek Squad and really do not want to do any type of help desk. I agree with the county/city job seeking, but I only have a portion of an associates done so in 99% of employers eyes I'm uneducated.
