I hate to say it man but if you're already up in the air what is stopping you from talking to this other girl? You both have feelings for each other. You're openly acknowledging that you've outgrown your ongoing relationship. Completely cliche, but true, advice here. Your relationship is pretty much done. Sucks, sorry, but it is. Don't miss out on an opportunity out of loyalty to a dead/dying relationship. Let's say you do nothing, move back near current gf, officially end it within a month, and have forever lost the opportunity with a girl you have feelings for.

Was with a girl who is a virgin and doesnt know her head from her ass when it comes to intimacy, so what would have been just slightly abnormal went full skeezball real fast.

Essentially, I've been away from my girlfriend for 2 years. I've seen her maybe 35 days total in that time. I caught feelings hard for someone who caught feelings for me, but we shelved it except for a few mutual hiccups while both drunk. Tonight at explosions in the sky they played your hand in mine and while like 8 BIG drinks in the idea that I would literally never see her again hit me and I held her tight and she held back. But as soon as the song was over reality snapped in and she was super uncomfortable about the whole thing, and I'm pissed at myself for not knowing better.

So yeah. We will see what happens but I'm p sure this friendship is over.

All of fucking this. I made that mistake and dragged it out for 3 more years. It's not worth it.

I'm not pursuing anything down here in LA for the one month I'm still here for. I'm just gonna clear my head. As for my gf in Boston, we were really great before distance, I'm gonna give us a chance to be good after distance again. Just on the flip, long distance is rough for a lot of people. And I am not just talking about my situation, but from friends who have military spouses. I probably would have done the same as you (wait and see what happens when you are near). Just assess the situation then, and if it feels wrong, it's will be time to move on. Iirc you are more than young enough that waiting to see won't matter.

So my best friend on xbox live of many years, and a second guy who is also a pretty good friend won tickets to see Metallica, Volbeat, and Avenged Sevenfold in Minneapolis from a radio station near where the second guy lives. For almost two weeks I've been listening online, and calling in, won a pair of tickets myself. Now if I can work out money/transportation/lodging I'll get to meet them irl and go to a badass concert.
