101 degrees out today. I have a pool and central air.
Fuck ya.
You know, I technically have a pool and AC, too. Yay. Might have to shut AC off when roommate gets home but the pool is about 100 steps away.
It was pretty rough in Disneyland Saturday but Sunday we said fuck that shit , 115 degrees!
Back home we are getting some warmer temps but not that bad. Living not far from the bay we usually get mid- high 80s and low 50s/60s with cooling breeze. No AC but have a non heated pool that can feel amazing. We go back to Disneyland in two weeks so hoping no more 100 degree days.
What's the draw to going so often? I'm honestly curious.
Have (hopefully, my budget for stupid expenses is running low) finally satisfied my recent new guitar kick.

It's a question I get almost weekly no worries haha. Honestly I don't have an exact answer aside from I grew up with it on a yearly basis living in Florida and Disney was a huge part of my life growing up. I have the best memories , feelings and thoughts associated with it.
Just about no matter what is going on in my life being there is a sort of release. I can just be myself , which isn't always easy for me. We almost always meet new people or have new experiences each time. It's a love , a passion even.
I love helping people plan their trips , offering advice , just talking about it makes me feel good.
Things are always changing and evolving and we enjoy just being there. This time we met up with some people of a Facebook social group and they were awesome to meet as well as I complimented someone on their custom haunted mansion themed button they made and gave me one too.
It's something about sharing a mutual love with others of all ages , with and without kids , families , etc. it brings the best out of me and let's me also keep my late moms love alive too as she was the one who instilled it into me.
From talking to my friend yesterday, she went 5 times in May, twice during Memorial Day weekend. Perks of being an annual pass holder. She loves Disneyland and all things Disney that she always budgets enough for a pass renewal despite how tight her finances are.
That's cool. It's not my cup of tea but I dated a girl who had worked there and was completely obsessed. Went twice a year every year. We actually broke up because I refused to go.
I have friends who hate it and those who love it. I actually never dated anyone who enjoyed it until I met my husband so from around 1999-2009 I never went that was the longest gap for visits for me lol.
We're annual passholders too since 2010 and just find it a good value for us even 6 hours away.
I'm a firm believer to each their own![]()
It's ok I mostly get annoyed with all the noise noise noise. Er people hate that many people. And yes I've gone in Winter and it still suck. That said literally my earliest memories are from when I went as a baby so nostalgia kicks in... but then I remember I almost died from neglectful parenting and wildlife on that trip to Florida so mixed feelings and basically I just go when someone drags me along if it's been more than a few years.
I wanted to take the kids sometime this week (we haven't gone all month of June wtf?), but unless the weather cools down, we may have to wait. My mom comes on Friday and we plan on doing a couple days staying at a maingate hotel in July so there's that.
For me, it's the happiest place on Earth.
And like Ast, I grew up going to DW. But then we lived in CT, and while it was still awesome we had to rush to see everything we wanted to see (did one week per year). Had to be at the park from the moment it opened until it closed. It was a rush to go from ride to ride we wanted to see.
Now, I get to not only let my kids experience Disney, we get to do it at a much slower pace and just enjoy everything. My kids love it, I love it, and I love to watch my kids love it.
We will be there June 30th( driving down after work) then leaving early afternoon July 4th staying at Howard Johnson. We should coordinate someday lol.
Hoping this weather holds

I miss my Disney pass so much. I went with my dad and his wife when they came for graduation last month, but it was only a one-day trip, which didn't really satisfy my Disney addiction. We were lucky that it wasn't too busy so we got on a lot of rides super quickly, and also because my dad's wife prefers a lot of the tamer rides that don't have long lines, so we got to do a lot. That part was cool because I hadn't ever been on a lot of those rides so it was a new experience, but still. I think I honestly could have gone to Disney yesterday and I'd still be here like, "I miss Disney"
Once I start getting my teacher salary though, I'll be able to renew my annual pass again. And then I can tell my students that I'm sorry their tests didn't get graded because I was too busy riding Tower of Terror for the 800th time.
FL resident passes can be paid for with monthly payments incase you didn't know. I have the FL Resident Silver Pass which blocks out from like the 3rd week in June thru the 2nd week of August, and the two weeks around Christmas and New Year's. I paid a $110 deposit and then its like $20 a month.
I am aware of that, but I'm currently working a shit job for $11/hr just to make it through the summer until I can start teaching. My Disney pass wasn't exactly a necessity with that kind of income.
Bought that Tony Romo's premade ribs from Costco and they are fucking delicious.
Mad shoutout to Costco for having so many meals that are a. tasty and b. I don't have to prep for.
They never have those ribs stocked up at the Costco near me. That and Popcorners. It's like everyone descends on this one Costco since it was the newest one built/relocated from a shithole of a neighborhood.
