well, it was definitely worth logging back in for this
lol..... well then
About to sign a contract for a short sale home. And while I know this may turn into a fail as short sales often don't go through to the end, I still consider it a win that we are finally in a position to actually DO that.
Getting out of that renters life hopefully within the year, bitches.
Also, goodbye city-life, hello suburbia. I missed you.
Grats, where at? Also wtf who still has an underwater home in SoCal in this market?
nice, grats yo
hope it goes through
Santa Clarita area. And I think the family has at least four kids as there were two sets of bunkbeds in the home, so they probably can't afford to pay.
There are actually quite a few in that area, and it has really good schools. So if this one doesn't go through, I know we can get another.
GL with that evening commute if you snatch up that short sale. I-5 north from 3-6pm is the biggest pain in the ass. It's the reason why my coworkers who commute from that way and the Antelope Valley show up at either before 7am or after 9:30am.
yeah, I already checked. Luckily my husband works in Valencia, and my school is moving to Sylmar. Since I work on school hours, the traffic isn't that bad.
Also, we want this one because we are (hopefully) getting it for about 100k less than it's value because it needs fixture repairs. We plan on flipping it in about 2 years and then using that to buy an even bigger place.
It has excellent schools there and it's very spacious already, so if we end up deciding to fix and stay, it's still worth it.
Girlfriend and I finally found a place to move to in August. Place is literally the apartment building next to hers so she gets to stay in her neighborhood while I have to move into DC (I had pushed hard to move to Old Town Alexandria in Northern Va to no avail). Place is more than I wanted us to spend on a 1 bd, but all utilities are included for $1900 so it could have been worse. She's happy with it and I can deal with it since my commute to work will be short.
IS IT IN GLOVER PARK? that is where i lived when i paid 1900 for a 1br in DC lol
Close enough. Cleveland park. Waspy moms and tourists for days.
And a metro stop!
Jesus, here I am looking at 700~ in Florida. Good luck, guys. And Ksan, too, with the short sale.
