Got the email last night (actually just after I got in bed) that my Florida teaching certification went through. Wooooooooot!

Finally caved in to the heat and long morning walk and ordered some work-acceptable khaki shorts (I've only been wearing pants as I own pants and gym shorts and nothing else).

Of course I ordered the tightest shorts possible though, if I'm gonna have to deal with wearing khaki shorts you're gonna have to deal with staring at my buns of steel every time I get up.

I finally joined a local gym after moving (it is climbing + weightlifting all in one and only 0.5 miles from apt) and was surprised to find out that I was able to work back up to 285lbs on DL with only really a bit of grip difficulty. Didn't have much left after for squats, but yeah, booty gonna be poppin' again real soon.

Finally getting off my ass and joined a BJJ gym yesterday. Little pricey but the available times couldn't have worked out better for my work schedule. M-F 6-7:30 am.. Only 2 days in but feeling amazing

I wear shorts plenty, just not for work.

I had a pair of camo shorts that lasted me a solid 11 years of like 3-4x a week usage for months that I could wear shorts. Those things were a fucking miracle. Saddest day of my adult life when I got a hole in the ass.

Cargo shorts are the only thing she's drawn a line about so far; I'll give her some more time to digest. I think it was mostly because I used to wear some really torn/ratty cargo shorts and she doesn't want to relive that time.

my gf bought me a pair of khaki shorts, they're nice. it's hard to find ones long enough that they don't look/feel like short shorts on me. i kinda operate on the rule that it should hang a couple inches below the knee standing up. that way when you sit, it rides up to just above the knee, instead of halfway up your thigh.


thing is, though, i don't think i've seen any khaki shorts that don't have cargo pockets. does that make them cargo shorts? am i just shopping in the wrong stores? idk. i almost never use them so they lay flat and look nice, but idk i feel like there has to be some cargo-pocket-less option somewhere.
