its not a common problem in the states. mainly in the older buildings in manhattan or chicago is where i've found it. I dont think they even have king beds in europe

Yes European bed sizes are smaller. We are on average less fat than Americans though so we don't necessarily need as much space.

If you are buying a bed to fit your body size you're doing it wrong. I'm 5'8 150lbs and I still sprawl over and use up all of my king because it's awesome. Plus years of sleeping in a rack kind of makes you want more room

My rack is by the head so I sleep with the foot locker above me to reduce the amount of light going into my face every time someone comes in and out. Can't count how many times I hit my fucking head waking up. I'll probably get a concussion once we start sea trials.
