Noah's birthday party was today and went off without a hitch. Only downside was only two people bought stuff that my wife had put on his shopping list. Most of the stuff he got is going to get returned.

Maybe I'm totally out of touch but why should people have to stick to a pre determined list ? Isn't it the thought that counts unless it's absolutely unusable/wrong size , etc.

It's not a bridal shower it's a kids birthday..

I'll explain. The reason we come up with the list is that it's all things that we know he will play with. It's not a small list, it was like 60 things. I shit you not, he got about 9 different playdoh playsets. None of which he had any interest in. Which is why we didn't have any on the list. Same with mega bloks. If it's not lincoln logs(old school baby!) he doesn't care. He is into cars, Paw Patrol, lincoln logs, trains, and minions. That's it. That's the list lol. But the main reason you make the list is when mouth breather relative number 8 asks you what they should get him. Consult the list.

Also I should add. The house is filled with toys he doesn't play with. We usually end up putting them up in the attic and will reintroduce them as he gets older. So by buying from the list it reduces the endless fucking clutter that has become our house lol.

Yep. After 2 years I'm not really worried though. Either I'll be in my own house by then with a new customer rate or just telling them we're leaving for the other ISP after the 2 years is up will always get you there OMFGPLEASEDONTLEAVEUS rate.
