My family home's remodel is so nice. What was an old 1970's brick haus that has that old feel to it is now an extremely nice modern brick house. Double paned windows, sick ass kitchen, nice tile flooring and brand new ac unit that sits at 74. I'm melting into a little bubble of happiness and I don't wanna come out.

Just fucking elope and have an awesome honeymoon and party after. That's what I tell everyone now especially if they plan on having kids. I know that's not feasible though depending on family /culture/ expectations but now when people doing vow renewals are trying to make it their wedding 2.0 it's fucking ridiculous. Best advice I can give no matter what - don't let anyone tell you guys how to do things.

Well looks like I've finally "fixed" the work comp so guess that's a win. I suppose the real win is I'm at least being paid hourly because I got all of about 30 minutes of my actual job done today and am going to count the rest of the time I got on the clock for the lunch break I didn't take.

Yeah ignore that shit, I was only engaged like 7 months but because of venue booking that was about as short as it could be. 14 months isn't "too long".

Ours was 8 months because I wanted a summer wedding. Had he proposed in like April/May, I probably would have put it off to the next year's summer.
