This is true. Half of the guys I played with were D1 athletes who did drugs or knocked up a chick and ruined their sports careers. I play with a guy who was WR2 to Larry Fitzgerald at Pitt in college, and some guys who gets paid 75k+ a year to play flag, as they are sponsored by Under armor. I have literally seen ankles broken by some of the moves these kids have. I can name a quick 5 people currently in my league who have been on practice squads for NFL teams, but got let go. Most of the guys now play Semi-Pro, but stay in shape by throwing down for a game of flag football.
I'll take my really shitty NYC softball league that I can stand around and drink beer while playing catcher in.
I got invited to a men's league lacrosse team a few years ago but three of the guys were subs for pro teams and I value my ability to walk and move my arms. They sound like what you've described. Serious high level competition.
Still is. I get asked to come back -- but I enjoy being a fat ass sitting on my couch, staring at my 65 inch on Sundays watching Redzone while I have Sam Adams on tap for my keg-orator.
Stayed over w/ the fam for the TGH weekend, and ate all kindz of yummy shit. Also managed to score a PS4 for 220 bucks and a cheapo 40 inch tv for 150. Awwwwww yeeeeeeeeeaaaaa.
I got a job. Call center for internet and cable provider. I go back tomorrow to finalize.
Unplug it. Plug it back in.
Good job dude!
Grats man.
As someone who did this for DirecTV many moons ago, I can tell you exactly the four types of people you will end up talking to.
1. Someone who can't speak English. Whew! This is the easiest one. Transfer to the foreign language help line.
2. A technician doing some kind of install and he needs you to finalize/verify stuff on customer's account. This is 2nd easiest one because the technician actually knows what they are doing 95% of the time.
3. A customer who is utterly clueless about technology/computers/Internet. Good luck. Talk to them like a child. Hopefully, they'll have a good attitude about it.
4. A customer who actually does know what they are doing but is either missing some kind of crucial step and/or the equipment is fucked up. These are the worst to talk to because they tend to know what's real and what's bullshit and they tend to be the "LET ME TALK TO YOUR MANAGER" people.
Good luck.
Grats Bane. I think you will do well, you seem like a pretty patient and helpful dude
Haha I am an IT guy and I am always #4. I immediately call and I start by saying "skip the fucking script. Yes I checked the cables yes I unplugged and replugged everything in yes I reset my computer yes I know what I am doing lets skip to the end where you give me some new ideas..."
I try not to be too mean to them but it is hard when sometimes I get a person on the phone who is clearly clueless about technology and they are simply following steps and reading a script.
Grats bane!
Grats bane.
I found Halo Top at my local kroger. Any recommendations?
Yeah haven't tried Birthday because well it is always fully stocked (like 30 of them lol) while half the other flavors are out and the rest down to <5 left. I trust the overwhelming consensus of the shoppers here. Lemon cake was all right... but there is no need to settle for all right.
Shit's pretty hit or miss at my store though so sometimes have to settle a tad. Like this was the first time vanilla was stocked. Shit gets bought out faster than they stock it so never seen the regular chocolate stocked. Chocolate mocha was up once and only had one. Lemon cake only once. Only flavors that are regularly there are strawberry, mint chip and the birthday cake no one buys. And haven't even seen the other like 8 flavors the website says exist
