That falls under "shit that would end the relationship" for me.
There's few things I like talking about more than how much I love eating steak that is essentially still living cow.
my wife would be siked to hear how much you enjoy eating a steak that is essentially a still living cow. she hates animals. she just one of those loser health nuts. still lets me crush whatever i want. just need to make sure a restaurant at least has a fuckin salmon salad
whatever im going to divorce her
Separate meal prep would suck but at least she's just doing it for the purpose of looking good on your arm, not some sort of annoying animal empathy.
Y'all out here talking about $100+ sushi dinners and my ass had a blue Gatorade and a Lunchable for dinner this week. Being poor sucks hahahaha
I can't imagine how much you'd have to hate yourself not to enjoy good food like that. I'd finally kill myself without beef or bacon at least a couple of times a week
Edit: super win. Customer came in with a super friendly Retriever. Got to play with him and customer even gave me some dog treats to feed him
if it makes you feel better i'm out there earning paper yet can imagine few bigger wastes of money than spending that much on a single meal. truly there is little that is more repulsive than the ostentation of man.
also
if you have time to meal prep you can eat way better than lunchables at the same price point fam
I know a few vegetarians that for whatever reason ate fish. Reminds me of a song by Avatar called Something in the way with a line that goes "And we're living off the grass and the drippings from the ceilings, but it's ok to eat fish cause they don't have any feelings"
It's just fucking bizarre and I just nod my head, smile and accept it as one of the universe's mysteries.
And with that, I just found out it's a cover of a Nirvana song. The things you learn.
For those who actually enjoy food, along with the flavors, it's easily justifiable to drop a hundred bones or more on a meal. I used to be the same way being a cheap shit who used to think a good steak dinner was Cattleman's or Black Angus. Now we'd rather save and go to a real place instead of a cheap chain, or if Astylla is feeling adventurous, buy the stuff at the store (still haven't discovered a good butcher for fresh cuts of beef) and make it at home. Steak and a Blowjob day has quickly become my favorite stay at home holiday.
Depends on the person really. I love good food and all. But I'm also not made of money and compare what other forms of enjoyment that could get me. Or sometimes just more food. That and I can cook for myself... and all the steak I could eat even on my most gluttonous cheat day for less (like a couple of weeks ago. 2.5 lbs of steak, 3lbs salt potatos and a bunch of sautéed mushrooms costing less than a small non filling meal from a high end place). Plus I hate the whole guilt trip associated tipping even more when going to higher end places that tend to pay more before tip then I earn.
edit: Also you aren't really paying that much for the food but a decent portion is going to the experience and such and just mark up for being a fancy place
Someone not fat please explain why 'fine dining' is not a hilariously stupid waste of money
