Some may remember I was having issues with the lights at our theater. We at one point had the Drama director at the local community college come and take a look but since he is mostly on the acting side he didn't know what to do either.

Well today I went to pick up my kids and there was another gentleman there who was talking to one of the teachers. I overheard him say he was working on the Golden Globes this year and she asked what he does, and he said he sets the lights. I definitely perked up and asked him how much it would cost to set up our lights at our school, and he said he would totally volunteer to do it and he knows everything there is about wiring the lights up n' junk.

I missed a shift last week and called it in (I usually just notify my supervisor/manager and they forward it to scheduling).

Was still paid for it as both my supervisor and manager missed my email and didn't report it to scheduling lol. Both don't care enough to deal with the extra paperwork and really don't care if I want to make up for it, so win-win!

So took my bike into th shop and turns out it not shifting was just because the cable broke. Fixed it up right there for me only costed $9 between parts and labor. But while we was there figured out the reason I've probably noticed some performance loss was my chain and gears being ridiculously worn and stripped. Apparently should've replaced the chain like 2 years ago lol. Can fix it but gotta order parts but they will waive labor costs if I do the tune up I was going to do anyways. So yay soon bike should be running like new again... now if only I was. But finally got into the doctor so maybe

Rewiring my own brain. It's an uphill battle with no real end, but it's worth fighting just the same. And today, I am winning that battle. The old feelings and relational methods keep rearing their ugly heads, and every time I confront them head-on and fight my way back to a place of positive self-worth. The battle never ends, but I am definitely getting better at this, and that gives me such hope and joy I can't even express it.


My BG peeps with anxiety, depression, and overall self-worth issues know what I'm talking about.

I don't know if this is an unfortunate win or fail turned win, but I've been holding off on buying plane tickets to Chicago. Now that this attack happened at FLL, my closest airport, I've seen the average price of two round trip tickets go down over $100. Idk if the prices went down before and I didn't notice, but I'll take it.

My favorite pasttime now is "kiting" various monthly subscription services - mainly food ones (Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, etc). Just signing up for a half price promo offer (generally $30-35 for 3 meals for two) and immediately canceling, and then signing back up for a promotional shipment when they "want me back". Also doing it with great success with FiveFour club ($30 for "hand selected" 2 to 3 articles of clothing).

None of them are worth $60/shipment but they basically all are worth $30, and it's just a slight pain to cancel but not too bad. FiveFour just begged me back with a $20.17 shipment, don't mind if I do.
