Picked up a mind numbing data entry job as a part time seasonal gig for the summer to get some extra cash flow. After the interview they decided with my work schedule at my main job it would be best if I worked from home using their web portal. Finally I can make some extra cash in my downtime instead of dicking around on BG and Reddit all night.

Been feeling sick for a few days so Wednesday call in sick for next day. Wake up yesterday it's pouring down rain woot good thing I don't have go into work. Go back to sleep. Wake up around noon and it's a bright sunny day and I'm feeling pretty good. Fuck it restaurant supply store a few blocks from me having their annual sale I'll go get some stuff for the kitchen. Get some cheap utensils and stuff for the sous vide and picked up some free food they were cooking with stuff they were selling and offering to customers. Kind of wiped me out so went home and slept some more.

The place is called Tan Cang(sp?). It's a family owned business, but their house special lobster and salt and pepper crab are fucking amazing. It's easily SSJB-tier.

I know this is the Win thread, but I feel like this belongs here.

My best friend of 20 years went into her final sleep today. She was a champ dealing with her other health problems for years but a tumor in her left lung and fluid building up in her lungs was too much this past week. Even with aggressive treatment she would have had to be around oxygen tank/box for the rest of her life.

I know I wasn't perfect with you. How annoyed you would get when I pulled all evening/night raids in XI and WoW instead of walks. When I left for vacation and you had to put up with mom. Or when I smartened up and stopped passing food under the table to you when we were kids...

I know I wasn't perfect...but all you did was love me anyways. RIP my little Susan.

So discovered there Sprint store at the mall next to my place. Went there to pick up a case and they had better selection than what Samsung had online anyways so probably a good thing they forced me to cancel my order lol. On top of that if I bought screen protector too they'd throw in some other accessories for cheap which included an extra long charging cord... which just so happens I just found out I needed since the cord that came with my phone was about 1-2 feet too short for my current furniture arrangments

Was gonna go to my favorite local bar tonight for a few drinks but I decided instead to go do a few dozen laps around the park and play Pokemon Go because of the double XP event going on right now. I just got home around 1am and there are police right across the street from the entrance to my apartments doing a DUI checkpoint. There is no way I would have been able to avoid them. Thanks for saving me from a DUI, Pokemon Go.

After I got a D(p)UI in FL (I was sleeping in my car but hammered) I'd take the bus and then a cab if I was going to Siesta Key or walk to downtown because I lived about 3/4 mile away.

Yessir. I'm still dealing with it eight years later. A background check company cost me a job because they didn't read the court documents stating I had finished all requirements correctly. They told the company I had violated probation and had not finished all court ordered items. Um.....how the fuck would I get a MI DL, get licensed nationally and with 12 states to sell mortgages, and get my MI insurance licenses? I hate people.

Yeah this sums it up pretty well. I never drive if I'm wasted, but I've driven home countless times after drinking in a situation where I wasn't impaired, but would I have blown over a .08? Absolutely. Two or three beers or one cocktail is pretty much all that takes.

I had reached out to some lawyers with the "email us your concern and we'll reply!". No one replied. Took the L and found another job, but still. It's just not worth driving even 1/2 like Brill said.
