I used to have cavities all the time when younger, even though I took good care of my teeth. Just went to the dentist for the first time in a few years recently (new insurance yay) and didn't have a single one. So damn happy.

My wisdom teeth were the worst, got a dry socket and shit took forever to heal.

I'm just weird this way, but I actually prefer having work done without being numb. I'd rather have a few minutes of painful drilling than a few hours of drooling out of my numb mouth. My brother is the same way. He had a dentist once tell him afterwards that the drilling was so deep it was almost a root canal, but he sat through it no problem.

the good dentists will try as much as possible to avoid numbing both sides at the same time. as long as half your lips are controllable, you can avoid the drooling and are also less likely to bite yourself.
