Found out once the person I'm replacing leaves after next Friday I get my own office.

I was checking the online portal and it turns out that courses for next fall semester (a year from now) are up already, so I've already planned out my course with which classes I will take all the way up to graduation. (Can't register for them yet, but I already know exactly what I'm going to take and when.) And it's really quite some time before graduation but I'm actually really excited that I can see the actual end in sight. The only things I will have to take beyond that fall semester are my internship and senior seminar course, which are always offered.

It's still about a year and a half out but I'm so thrilled that I can actually see the end of what has been a nearly decade endeavor for me to get a BS. You guys are all invited to my party.

I normally make my own but work + school is making that really difficult this year so I figured I'll just buy one. I don't like to do that since usually they're poor quality and really generic but I found one I really liked this time so bam, I'm fucking ready for the best holiday now.

I got a new job working in the IT department of a company nearby. I originally applied for a technical support position and after interviewing they decided to hire me in a higher paid position doing more server administration stuff and infrastructure work. I am really happy because it is a relatively short commute for me to this job. ~30 miles round trip rather than ~65 miles if I worked in the town in the other direction from my home.
