saying nothing for a whole week is bullshit and idiotic. the way to approach that would have been "We can't get the resolution we'd like with the ultrasound, so we'd like to have you go in for a whatsit." Simple, true, doesn't panic anyone. I'm sure my doctors have sent me in for tests without telling me exactly what they're looking for, but they always give me some reason for the test. Even if it's just "Well it's been a while, I think we should take another look."
I won't argue that lol
They didn't even so much as let us know what it regarded, they just told us the procedure was an Echochardiogram, and so we were able to conclude it had something to do with the heart from looking up the procedure. I get that the technicians can't say anything, but it was our actual Dr who had called us to let us know we had to visit Sick Kids Hospital, and even in our appointment with him prior to seeing the specialist, he sat there and said he's not letting us know anything, and that the specialist would explain all.
But w/e, we know now, and couldn't be happier about the news
Got invited to participate in a private tribute run before the Boston marathon this year, I feel honored to have been invited.
Now, to start running.... lol
Okay so as you all know I have been dealing with the misspelling of my name for pretty much as long as I've worked here, so I updated my signature in my work e-mail thus:
Today, I get an e-mail from someone who noticed it and found it amusing:
It does appear to be working though, I've actually gotten a few people to apologize for saying my name wrong.
Do the people on the tribute run, still do the Boston Marathon? Or is it, do that and skip the other? If the latter, sounds like a pre-marathon because they're too scared to run the actual one.
Fucked my wrist up trying to move around some 6 foot tables at work the other day. Go to Med Xpress and they give me 50 Percocets....Now I know where to go if I ever want painkillers again lol.
Got to assist with this tonight.
People who block hydrants, and handicapped spots are pet peeves for me.
Not my picture sadly, didn't even think about taking one.
Haha, nice. I hope it rains.
Anecdote: We (the volunteer FD I was on years ago) hooked up the Engine to a truck and yanked it sideways down the road because it was blocking a gated fire lane. Two of the wheels buckled and fucked up the wheel well in the front. I am sure it caused all sorts of other damage too. Dude tried to sue the "city" (800 people and a post office) and was told to try not parking in a fire lane next time.
This car was blocking the primary hydrant directly outside of a 8 alarm blaze.
Car full of water now from a "slow disconnect", and towed. Not to mention the two citations written.
Dude I really would love to see the owner's face.
Can you even claim that on insurance? lol
Regardless, right move by the firefighters.
Fucking pwned lol
hah! serves the bastard right.
My new cats have been delivered to the airport for their flight to Korea tonight, I get to go pick them up in the morning. 2 gorgeous new Maine Coon girls who I'll be taking to shows and breeding once they are old enough. I could post this in the pets thread, but they aren't actually here yet so I'll post there once I've got them home ^^
This is Eris
Jalopnik had an article about this incident this morning. Did you guys smash the windows out? Looks like a BMW, which we all know implies the driver is a douche bag anyways.
