Yes, phase 2 of BG world domination begins!
Really though, congrats Ksan, and good luck next year.
GRATS!!!!
I have a stomach ulcer and it was giving me all sorts of shit yesterday and I had a headache that was causing my right eye to be all twitchy.
I hadn't eaten anything at all the whole day til around 7PM where I tried to force myself to eat just a bit and threw it right back up not even 5min later.
All in all, pretty shit day. Was just lying down in pain all day.
Random win though? I FEEL DAMN GOOD TODAY. Yeah, that's not exactly a "win" by most people's standards since today is just a normal ass day but after yesterday I'll take it as one.
what did you try eating? heavier foods are going to bother you. i would suggest lighter foods like pasta or other carbs. don't put heavy sauces on it, just go with something plain. my old standby is Cartwheels: Pasta, olive oil, parmesan. Enough calories to keep you going for now, but shouldn't bother your ulcer. Doughnuts/other pastries should be okay too. You want to avoid anything your stomach needs to produce a lot of acid to digest: meat, grease, etc.
also, it's actually normal to feel better after not eating for that long, if what is wrong is causing pain in your digestive tract. happens to me all the time. it can become problematic; it's part of how i lost all my muscle mass. if the ulcer continues to be this bad, you should go to a doctor. I take an acid reducer for similar problems.
Win win. Boarding the plane for Bahamas.
Fail is that winnipeg is like -20 and Toronto is +10 right now.
After being turned down time and time again since most libraries do not seem to be particularly interested in a former university student who took four years to finally quit the subject they picked because they did not know what to do after graduation, I finally received positive feedback from a library. They stated that they evaluated my CV and sent me an online test, which appears to have gone rather well, as I received an invitation for another test about an hour later.
In two weeks from now, I'm scheduled to take another test at my potential workplace, though I have no idea what exactly they're going to test since the online test already covered most of what I would expect during employment testing.
This is a huge chance, really huge. Düsseldorf is the capitol of NRW and is close enough to where most of my friends live to visit them frequently. The only issue is that I really don't know what the next test will be about. Failure absolutely isn't an option, I just want to be a librarian. I must succeed, but it's hard to excel when I don't know what they'll have me do. And in order to be employed, I must excel. Guess I'll just squeeze anything into my head that seems remotely useful.
I work conducting all kinds of psychometric assessments. We sometimes use Online test for candidates as a pre interview. But the trouble with online tests is you can never be sure whether or not the person who you interview was the person who sat the test or if they had help/cheated in anyway. What we do is administer a similar test in a controlled environment, usually opting for a pen & paper assessments, this is the best way to validate the results from the online tests. This could be what they are doing with you.
I had to go through the same thing when i got this job actually. Scored way better on my validation for Maths too as i didn't get much time to practice before the online assessment.
Congrats so far and good luck with the rest.
For all the Navy people here, I missed second by 1.13 points. I was suppose to have a NAM long before the test but my cunt of HM2 kept making excuses and not following up with it. Take the test results come out BOOM 1.13!! My HM2 has the balls to say better luck next time you got it...........-.-; wouldn't be a next time if you followed up with my NAM!!! I get in contact with my higher ups about the situation and I get the news that the NAM could be back dated since it was for a earlier time so it shouldn't be a problem to put in. Good thing my 1st class knows the LT that approves awards. I only work with my HM2 while my higher ups are hours away at another duty station.
if the award isn't already dated for a date prior to you taking the test, they cannot do such a thing without expecting your OIC/CO to probably get fired. They're cracking down on advancement policies because of shit like this. That being said, if you're relying on a 2nd class to write an award for you, you're gonna have a bad time. You need to figure out who actually does administrative shit for your shop or whatever, and get in good with them, and make sure THEY'RE the person that notices you doing things that are above and beyond your daily taskings, so that writing such an award isn't pulling teeth and making shit up on a whim.
No scam, money arrived. I am happy.
I see, that also makes sense. I asked a friend of mine who works in a library and they had some slight variations, though it probably differs based on the place anyway. I'll just make sure that I'm ready for anything, not like there's anything wrong I could do to prepare myself. Thank you for the advice!
Life has gone so amazingly well lately. It's like the whole slog of the past year and half have finally started flowering and giving me back all the shit I've put into it.
Work is going great. I can stay at home and work when I feel like it. Hours are totally up to me so long as work gets done. Downside is I'm salary but my boss is the best. I'm up for a pay increase now too. Wooo!
Streaming is going great. Lots of new viewers watching and it's always got 2-3 people even when I first start. That makes me really happy!
My health has been great. I am feeling a lot better. After the holidays are over, I'm going to try to do more fitness activities to see if I can improve my health further.
Beating lots of video games. I'm over the moon that I'm getting through my backlog.
Not last and not least...
I'm going on an amazing holiday date this year. I'm getting the 24 days of presents before Christmas treatment and each one keeps getting better. None of it is jewelry which makes me happy. Practical gifts are the best. Although I think the Christmas gift is actually going to be reaaaally expensive. It's going to be difficult coming up with a gift(s) that even comes close to how considerate and well thought my gifts have been...
The final thing and the best thing of all:
My friends who were in an accident have all been released from their respective hospitals. They are making great recoveries and are working on getting back into the workforce. I've already made it clear I'm not taking a penny back for all the money/time I put in to help. I'm just happy they have all recovered and seem to be gaining back their confidence and smiles again. We're making plans on doing something fun next year as a group but they will cover for my expenses on the trip. Thinking a cool road trip across country and just spend money on gas. We have camping equipment. Would be cheap and fun!
WOOOOOO! THIS IS HOW TO END A YEAR! :D
Random win?
