I don't know why it matters Chester broke his leg, his big hit is all about crawling. In the end it won't even matter.

Got a new job a few months ago. My boss has this big project he wants to lay out and have me do. It's IT, and we can't have any downtime. Because of this the project will take months to finish between many sites around the state. Turns out, the main tool we need to do this isn't part of our current VMware licenses, and it will cost another 50k a year to upgrade our LICs on all our hosts. Sent my boss the e-mail explaining it, "Yea, nvm then... thats too much to spend for just that"
FUCK YES!
Got a 10% raise and didn't realize until just now. Was never told it was coming.
It's been in effect from at least the first of the year, not sure if it goes back further than that...
Are you sure it's a real raise, not just less taxes being taken out to start the year?
Nice.
It's my weekend off and it's snowing. Feels fucking good man
My son called me today via Facebook, through no one's prompting but his own desire to call and talk to me and wish me a happy birthday. No one had to tell him to call - he just saw that it was my birthday and decided to call me.
I'm so proud and happy and truly blessed to have such a wonderful young man.
Psh. Considering my ex has done very little and made very little effort to keep the kids actively engaged in speaking with me, I consider myself very blessed that he has learned through some means on his own to call me and talk to me.
Also, forgot to mention another win: Went to the casino today with my mom, won $159.66 on a 25 cent bet. Then I quit while I was ahead and hung out and watched my mom and hoped she would win (she didn't). Good day.
I am living a small part of the American dream by scheduling a vacation day for the day after the Superbowl.
So I've been unemployed for almost a year, looking for work and am taking time off to help pay for my last 2-3 semesters of school. I finally scored a job with my friend's landscaping business. The pay is really good to start off(10$/hr), and I'll get between 20-40 hours a week. It's a win/win because I really enjoy this kind of work, hence why I'm going into archaeology lol. I'm just really happy I found something after not having a job for so long and can finally help out with money. I also stopped my school from mailing out a $4k check to the wrong address, since that's the refunded money for class and belongs to my dad.
he called it "really good to start off" which it is. an entry level menial labor position? that's hella good.
Very much this. When I started working at 16 minimum wage was $4.25 in Florida LOL. But even nowadays getting $10/hour doesn't even go that far but is higher than most areas.
Working is working though so that's what matters. I see people constantly complain they can't get a job but aren't willing to do what's necessary versus what is desirable.
